Listening to Transexxual Blackout (The Movement) by The Bronx.

I seriously may cry that tickets to The Bronx show in Sydney sold out whilst I was away. Probably my favourite Hardcore band still kicking it at this time.

This album is really perfect for drinking too with the slower songs. Like Doors perfect. No fucking joke.

Man it's like Tom Waits decided to form a Hardcore band. The most perfect cigarette/whiskey voice ever. The man sounds like gravel even when just talking.

Apart from the terrible use of the letter U rather than the word you in the song title, this song is really ridiculously catchy. Don't hate on me cos I <3 Britney.
 
Cave In - Youth Overrided

Mix post-hardcore with guitars that sound like a harder Incubus post-Morning View and you have this song. So good, and all the more reason to listen to last.fm recommendations.

As corny as it sounds, this song breaks my heart every fucking time I listen to it.
So bummed. So good.

I was just off loaded a ton of great hiphop - completely phat beats and story telling ... right now I couldnt ask for anything more.
 
I just bought Chinese Democracy for the lulz, but....it's actually not terrible!

I thought it would have to be atrociously bad given that it was so long in the making and Axl had so much drama getting it out there (he's gone missing now and isn't doing any promo work for the album apparently lol), but there's a lot about it that I'm liking on first listen, which bodes well.

His whiny voice is just as distinctive as ever though. :)

I bought the album today. I'm not overly impressed, but it's not bad. I just don't think it's the sort of thing I can listen to from beginning to end. These lyrics are smileworthy though. :D

James Holden - Essential Mix 19-01-2002

Extremely soothing and thought provoking at a rather intense time in my life.

Really catchy house, morphing into some deep, rolling progressive with undertones of scandanavian tech.

Oh how i love James.
