Damn. That post was a million times more intriguing until I reached the bit in bold.

Still debating whether or not to do the earplugs thing myself. I did two consecutive nights of My Bloody Valentine without them and survived, but this is Academy 2, so it's bound to feel louder. Well done on warning the lad, though. Tell him not to talk to any sinister-but-good-looking strangers. ;)
 
If you get stuck at the back of Academy 2 you definately wont need earplugs, is the gig sold out? Its fucking hard work to push through a huge crowd, or you have to get there early to get a good position if the night is sold out, its shit being stuck right at the back. Ive been there several times and the music has never been too loud at academy2 or 3 or club academy. Academy1 is a different matter though, had titinus for about a week after seeing SLF there.:\
 
It's not sold out as far as I know - think a friend of mine is buying his ticket on the door.

I tend to be a 'stand near the back' type these days, so I won't be fighting my way through people, although saying that I ended up right next to the PA for MBV. Then again, a lot of people cleared out of the way, which tends to happen with Swans too.

No air conditioning allowed at Swans gigs either. Good job it's a little bit cooler today!

Still hope at least one person passes out though. :D
 
I like to stand a line or 2 just behind the gangs of teenagers going mental at the front. I've been very arrogant and obnoxious on mephedrone just barging right through people to get to the position i wanted, things went slightly better when i remembered to start saying things like "sorry" and "excuse me" but some people just didnt want to move to let me pass when they could have done. Strange thing was if a wild teen wanted to get right from the back straight to the front the crowd would open up for them. Teenagers rule the gigs and i dont think they even know it.
 
Im listening to random songs atm, slowing them down speeding them up and doing weird phasing shit
