What You Listening To? v, Some Cunt Didn't Bother to Include the Numerals Last Time

In a rather 90s Britrock mood today.

Therapy? - Die Laughing
Terrorvision - Alice, What's the Matter?
The Wildhearts - Caprice

Loved Syro - not breaking any new ground, but it's the album of the year so far. It could be a Drukqs II, for all the development in style that's gone on in the interim, but I'm not complaining. Having said that, I reckon it's got a lot more funk to it than Drukqs.
Yeah.. it's just so *listenable*, which I don't find with all of his stuff.

Remember trying to learn the many, many changes in Caprice on guitar. The Therapy? tune also, although that was pretty simple. Wonderful times. :)

Never got into Terrorvision though. They were kind of a chick band.

Blimey, I am actually impressed.

And yeah, I never really got as much into Terrorvision back then, but they've grown on me over the years. Great boingy live band too.

Impressed? I didn't say I played anything remotely well. :D

We rehearsed Screamager so often in my first band that some of the guys who were there can't even hear the song without wincing.

It's all compulsively listenable to me (well maybe I can see your point with Ventolin:D), but I thought it was cool that he seems to be reacting to, or even satirising, a lot of current sounds, which I suppose is a development of sorts.

In a burnt out vauxhall nova dnb mood today:

Zinc - Ska

Hah, I went to see Andy Cairns do an acoustic gig last night, that's what prompted my 90s binge. Had a good singalong to that, the riff and all.

Ace tunes, especially Stereophonics. Right , you're my friend all over again now I know you've good taste in music <3 JK you've always been my friend apart from the odd "disagreement." How about you send us a video of you dancing to the tunes? :D

Evey

Err thanks, but i think some would differ about some of my choices, and there's no chance of me posting a video of myself dancing. I would by now definately be "Dad Dancing" or "Embarrasing Uncle" or "Weird Uncle" dancing at my age. :sus: On the other hand, some of the more generous of spirit might think 'there's life in the old dog yet' or 'i didnt know he had it in him', as typical of the some of the more positive comments i've heard when non-teenaged or non-20-something people take to the dance floor at weddings and other events.

Really? That must've been great! I hope old Fat Andy's doing well. I have a lot of time for the guy.
Aye, his acoustic shows are great as he does a lot of funny anecdotes as well.. and I was quite surprised at his last gig as he had loads of drug stories. Apparently they were really big on their psychedelics, which I wouldn't have guessed from the music. Seems like a decent guy anyway, aye. (Unlike Ginger who does come across as a bit of a twat.)

I see what you did there. :D

The Rolling Stones - Tattoo You (Full album)

I wouldn't have guessed at psychs either, though I suppose Infernal Love is a massive comedown record.

And yeah, I met Ginger a couple of times and he was civil, but not overly warm. Though he was wrecked on both occasions.

Yeah, I've met Ginger and he wasn't overly friendly either. Though he and the rest of the band were very friendly to my (15 year old) friend back in the day, as she was really quite slutty. Ick.

And yep, apparently Loose is all about clubbing on MDMA in Belfast.
Therapy? - Loose
