Got to say Raas was the one being a cunt here, bit silly getting upset over a few double posts isn't it. He clearly has a huge man crush on Dan though so I guess that explains the over reacting ;)

Meh. Never liked Spotify but never used it for more than the briefest of flirtations. Don't they charge for it? Apparently in somewhat less cynical (if equally as destructive) as PooToob are looking to try to so - as ever - a brief flowering of a chance for true creativity is gonna be swallowed up by blind pigdoggery soon enough and all will be more or less as scummy as each other. Although one will still be owned by Google who appear to be trying to cut off one of their few remaining ties to any form of credibility on their sworn avoidance of evilness. Tis a pity. For a while there music really did start to show signs of becoming free in the more meaningful sense of the word. Shame somebody decided to use the same word to describe lack of money... at least until the world wakes up from the mercantile dream and grows up a bit.

In the meantime - whilst PooToob still retains some of the reason it became what it's about to sell its soul - the one that even Google didn't dare try to buy off til recently - that track is also available without subscription. So is the album. There are many reasons why people may choose to take the tune without money exchanging hands - some more legitimate complaints than others - but that was never the real problem. All those bands who got exposure through mass-market exposure that would never be allowed through the doors of record companies would never have been heard otherwise so never had the chance of earning a crust that way anyway. As ever, pigdogs close ranks and do their utmost to keep it all as manageable (in every sense of the word) as possible.
