You have no idea how much that hit my heavily sedated spot.
I had a long chat (4+ hours after we played a show together) with a friend of mine (an aussie) who went to cbgbs the uk to see the sex pistols.
He and shane (and john 'sid' beverly) were all mates, pre-fame.
This friend of mine came back and almost single handedly stsrted punk rock (in this isolated shit hole anyway). He's one of my heroes and best friends.

Glad it hit the spot! I think you've mentioned that friend before, but I didn't know he was mates with Sid and Shane. Im-fuckin'-pressive.

I love the way he dedicates it to some girl "by the Clyde, on a Saturday night back in 1968". You can really tell he's singing it for her and nobody else. What a big softie.

The Victims - Television Addict
This was their first single, but he told me the other night its his favourite thing he's ever done.
His musical legacy is increible, and it blows me away that he loves my band.
Im not impressed by fame, but the ramones/kimfowley/johnnythunders/shane mcgown/ sid (oh, and he auditioned for the clash, but was 18 months out of practice) just blow me away. Played pool with richard Lloyd.

His band the Dubrovniks are touring europe soon (dunno about uk, sorry) but if you can go see em you should. Make yourself known (to me) - he's a great guy.
