Yeah, for some reason I pronounce it like that too. Bowie as in Cow-ee. Even though I think it's probably wrong.

We had a Cocteau Twins playlist on earlier, followed some Cure, Beta Band, and Belle and Sebastian.

Never quite could get into the JAMC, who were all the rage with some of my mates at the time.

The Mary Chain are a bit pretentious. Their early songs are full of hard drug references, but they were never a part of that until their later fame. Cocteau Twins are love. I saw a few members of the Beta Band - can't remember their names, but recognized them - in a pub not so long ago. I saw the Belle & Sebastian musical, God Help the Girl, the day it premiered, but it wasn't really my kind of film.

they don't make them like this anymore. people talk about robert plants voice but for me Ian Gillan outshines them all bar joe cocker

compare this to cheryl cole and i reckon she wouldnt get through on todays scene because she just aint pretty enough. I blame mtv as music is now more about the visual aspect than what it actually sounds like.
