@foolsgold-Good to see another Slayer fan.Today I was listening to Hell Awaits(their finest album IMO,along with Show no Mercy),Abigail by King Diamond and The Gallery by Dark Tranquility.I think I'll round the evening off with some goth rock.Maybe Catastrophe Ballet by Christian Death or First and Last and Always by The Sisters of Mercy.I may even get in a punk rock mood and throw on the first TSOL album.Then again,The Black Dahlia Murder has been calling my name all day.

Crikey. Knew the boy was good but he does keep on getting better and better.

I may be horribly, horribly biased but is there any electronic musical genre that has ever managed to combine staying true to its roots whilst innovating year on year ever come close to acid? Squelches never get old and die, just reconfigured and reimaigined in ever more swirlsome and squelchier forms. Acid techno as pure energy... in an admittedly wanky as all fukkery way of phrasing it.

Still.. Even 20 years on that's a beast of a tune and no mistake. Acid always wins cos is pure sexfunk with even sexier twiddly nobs on - what's not to <3 =D

+ Obligatory reminscence that I used to score my acid from... peoplpe not linked above in any way, shape nor form (but may have been lingering around the fringes all the same *checks with bl lawyers, considers it long enough ago there's presumably some statute of limitations or the like involved. Was bloody good acid and cheap as chips either way =D<3=D

Gotta disagree there, they're well annoying. Plus if you're out in public you look like even more of a nutter than usual. Without eye wiggles and jaw clenching I've been able to act normal enough to go out shopping etc and not get any weird looks so I'm glad I don't often get em anymore.

Also, it's probably because I'm 12 (literally) but I've got to say I've not heard of most of the stuff posted in here haha. Quite enjoy a lot of still. Feel like we need some more nu metal fans around these parts though.
 
I enjoy them now and again, takes a lot for me to get em tho. i agree they can get annoying. jaw clenching i dont mind too much. used to get it bad tho, and grinding, surprised the dentist never said anything cos i assume itd be noticable

Sleep soon me thinks. speed tomorrow. need to save enough for the weekend tho

Yeah i try to but laying awake gets annoying, i usually gap em out but sometimes do end up them a few too many days in a row. v bad road to hear down. can easily creep up, caught myself out with them a couple tmes. then ended up with insomnia from the rebound. learnt my lesson, kinda, its all low dosage though

liking that tune. right... bed time for me... peace n love x

Having had both the experience you say you are looking for and those experiences I know (and you know) you are really looking for I can but urge you to keep considering the latter. As I said elsewhere, hedonism >>> self-abasement. Coke is as hedonistic a drug as it gets - why ruin it with getting addicted? The two don't work together. Coke becomes anhedonic. You take it to keep the shadow people happy. Or to keep your dealer from calling in his tick bill or whatever. All enjoyment that was once there in full effect has been lost. It's very hard to get that back again. Much easier if you never lose it in the first place.

I'll sleep on it (hopefully). Feel quite dreamy and reflective now. Still really craving coke and ordered some even though I'm meant to be picking up on Wednesday already. Sigh. The problem is I do still enjoy it and by the time I don't anymore it'll be too late right? Makes it difficult.
