For reference purposes, here's the worst version of Star of the County Down in all its tossed-off glory. Shane had obviously failed to turn up, it's packed with bum notes and (inexplicably) their fifth-choice singer provides the (awful) vocals.

wow, this is better than the album. this is beautiful! I am seriously making up for my Brian Wilson / Beach Boys free existence now. It is so beautiful to hear and see this knowing a little about Brian's life. If you can't be bothered with all of it go in at 7:12 and hear beautiful singing from a 60 year old man singing his 24 yearold autobiography. amazing. great beat!
