Came over today, despite my hangover
despite how sick I felt, couldn’t wait to tell you
the good news I found out last night
cos I know my friends will always be there
but you, you sat there and I cried
told you what I was so afraid of
then I told him and he told me its gonna be ok
alot better than what you did

when I left, you were passed out on the floor
kissed you goodbye, you woke up and said
I hope it all turns out well, call me tomorrow
I can’t wait to see you tomorrow, you said
we drove a ways, quite a way actually
just to find out the awful truth I knew I couldn’t bare
and when I saw that line, just the one line
I was ecstatic, yet empty inside... strange

I had this feeling when I went to bed
that something wasn’t quite right in your head
that something was happening at this moment
yelled at the ones I loved, just to see you
when I got there, I couldn’t wait to tell you
but you caught me off guard, you had to tell me something
we went upstairs and laid in your bed
it took you a moment to catch your breath

yeah, you were to drunk to know
to drunk to see her face and know she wasn’t me
the worst part is, I left your house in tears last night
before it all happened, before you fucked it all up
because I was so fucking afraid
of what it would do to you and us
and now look what you have done

fuck

i dont even have words to describe the pain i feel

because of you

and im sitting here, taking it

I like this a lot, its very emotional and powerful, like all your pieces! If you dont mind I have a question, is it just one person you write many of your poems about, or are some of them just lyrical heros, because if it is just one guy, you must be really serious about him!!

Great work!

nothing hurts like a broken heart...just remember, everything in life is impermanent.

nope - as the times goes on... men have come and gone through the pieces of my life. everything ive written in the last few weeks have been about my current boy, who makes so god damn happy despite this one stupid thing he did last night.

but life goes on, and so do we. sometimes i like to think the things that break you down are the same ones that build you even stronger.
