You always do post some sexy-sounding drinkies, TG. Have generally never heard of 'em myself but such is life in Nowhereville (somewhere in the middle thereof). Hope you kick Trojan arse a good 'un, missus :)

Got meself a bottle of red when I went out earlier. £4.99 down from £6.99 which counts as fine wine territory as far as I'm concerned. Think it's a French one and am not too familiar with French wines. Some obscure, rare old grape variety too. Sure it's likely to be overpriced pish but has one of those labels that make it look like connoisseur stuff and would never usually buy it so will give it a go.

Sun appears to be well past the yard arm so...

PS: Tis Les Jamelles Reserve Mourvedre and "contains notes of smoke, herbs, mushrooms and spice" apparently.

Mushrooms!. That's just wrong as far as wine's concerned. :|

I'm alternating between green tea with ginseng and strawberry and Martell (from the bottle, like a true gentleman). Cooking will be fun...
 
^ Third is kinda the first for me usually. The first two don't count cos you barely notice them, I find.

TG: Ha! The mushrooms thing is definitely an oddity but did get me intrigued. Oddly enough I can actually see what they mean. Suspect "earthy" would be a more common way of phrasing it though. There really is a hint of mushroom about it though. Perhaps just due to the suggestion. Tis a nice drop - supersilkysmooth, no harsh tannins, nice soft fruitiness and just a hint of spice to pep it up a bit. Not bad stuff at all. Even with the mushrooms :D

Also, fuck virii - Linux is your friend ;)

Generally speaking, no. But t'is the last in my fridge and I'm certainly not gonna be venturing out. Plus, I really do need to complete this paperwork before they sack me. =D

Yeah, that's what I thought. I've just never got myself a bottle a wine which listed mushrooms as part of it's description of flavours.

Third one now.

Diesel! Made with Berries and Cherries diluting juice instead of Black current ( It was all we had to hand )

Think I'm gonna make it this way from now on. Feck me it's refreshingly tasty!

What do you mean Shammy? Why am I drinking a Diesel, What is a diesel or why am I using diluting juice rather than blackcurrant cordial?

Never heard of a drink called Diesel except that time I found a tramp looking shifty whilst hanging round the taxi rank with a syphon hose and who sadly spontaneously combusted shortly thereafter. Was a messy biznizz that :|
