I have to admit, thanks to a hard session early in my drinking career I can no longer smell let alone drink Gin. Having said that, bombay is the way to go. Even I can appreciate its allure.

I was on the verge of buying a bottle of Pimms the other day, but wasn't sure I'd like it and hated wasting the cash :| so bought a wee can of it mixed with lemonade and hated it...phew money saving! :D

Pity, I quite fancied the fantasy of hot sunny garden Pimms :\
 
White Rum and OJ an unremarked yet extremely potable combo. Whte rum is well known to work with fruit juices yet fuck all people match it with the obvious one.
 
I had the Pimms idea last week Kate, thought it sounded perfect for being out in the garden in the sun bought a couple cans. Never again, shit is bogging.

I've been enjoying Lemonade, lots of ice and a big chunk of lemon and the same of lime recently, so refreshing. Didn't think I liked lemonade much. Was gonna mix some gin in with it earlier might try it tomorrow.

The idea of Pimms is very nice but the reality a bit disappointing...maybe it's an English thang :\ maybe with soda water it would be nicer?

Gin and lemonade is ok - the man quite likes it, but anything sweet gives me the boak :| tonic all the way or bitter lemon at a push. I quite fancy making lemonade, had recent success with lemon iced-tea, now that was nice :)

Frankly if the the sun shines this weekend I've got my eye on some champagne ;) A match made in heaven =D
 
what kind of ratios do you go for for ice tea kate? i've tried to make my own several times but it always ends up shit. my fave is the mangajo green tea and lemon ice tea sweetened with a little apple juice <3
 
lemon sherbit flavoured diluting juice...classy if i say so myself, spiced up with a third vodka, ice and everything, not bad for 3.10am, its taking th edge off my insomnia

Kate's lemon iced-tea: 3 pints of boiling water with 6 bags Assam (steep for lonnnng while) 6 lemons, rind peeled and the fruit juiced within an inch of their lives, 3 tablespoons castor sugar - mix, chill overnight and sieve to take bits out. Serve with more lemon slices and ice.

I like my drinks with attitude and full on flavours - this delivers. i reckon a glug of vodka would work in it fine :D
