Wow! Well, I love this moral dilemma-weekly thing.. Very cool indeed!
I was in a situation where a good friend of mine shot someone and came to a mutual friends house afterwards while we were all hanging out there. I've never seen someone that zoned and just, I dunno hard to describe.. Distraught would be a good adjective to use..
Regarding this mock situ, I'd step in 100%.. No matter how heated something gets, murder is murder (not taking into consideration self-defense and all that) if someone, anyone, takes another human life with malice/intent etc, that's the line in the sand for me..
Depending on the level of love I have for this person would determine if I called the authorities or if I'd try my hardest to convince them to turn themselves in, but I'd also make sure no one else (including myself) was in any danger etc..
If I was to find out about said murder, years or decades down the track that'd be a different story I think.. I'd initially react instinctively as all humans would, but I think hearing information like that would shock most.. Especially coming from a loved one whom (as all murderers families say) was a gentle soul etc..
I'd always want to know about it though and I'd be glad said murderer confided in me. I wouldn't take that as a burden or having guilt (wanting to turn them in etc) and feelings eating me up. But, this is all just talk, if the situation ever came about I'd probably be the one being killed. Hahahaha..
Keep these weekly things up! I looooove it :D
