What Would you do if you have a Billion Dollars?

Hello Hello~!

Well if I have a billion dollars I would:

Get a home theater!!!! (For Movie Marathons)
Buy mansions
Donate to charities
Help all the relatives
Go to Spa everyday
Go to Ibiza every weekend(without drugs sorry lols)
Travel around the world
Start up a business
Get treated
put some of my millions in the bank (time deposit)
Buy pets
Have my own clubs (including strip clubs)

That's all I can think of for now what about you?

Crikey maya, top question, obvious answer is lots of drugs and the best doctor money can buy

Really...

Security for my family, financially and residentially
Set up my own Molecular Biology lab, which I would act as a benefactor for
Purest possible Cocaine HCl, 1kg
Some extravagant animal, say a giraffe. And the means to.give it the life of a king.
The rest? Probably some amazing nights out with friends, on me :)
 
pay off fines and fees and debt (im not in debt but got shit to pay off)
apply for good colleges
travel
pets!
own apartment
get a car (two cars, a nice modern one and nice classic car)
buy a shitton of books for school and clothes and othr various things
give some to my family
charity
and spend a bit of it for "fun" purposes but mostly save it and donate it :)

Well, I would definitively buy (or maybe rent for 10-20 years, who knows?) an island... something like this one. And then of course build the perfect house there: cozy, comfortable, green, as self-sustaining as possible, with a garden full of interesting vegetable species (lol). Maybe even better, I could built something that mimicks a very small hamlet (3-4 buildings) instead of a large house. And a sailing boat (not too big, something I could manoveur alone... I will also need to learn:P) and a a small airplane, something like a Cessna 400.

Theen.. I would fund research I'm interested in, buying/building facilities if necessary (not on the island though :P). And well.. no, I don't know. One billion is just too much money to spend in a lifetime :P
 
Nice!!!!! and maybe you could build a small country in that island too with your own mansion and your own shopping mall =D
 
give most of it away. a billion is an obscene amount to have in one spot. it is immoral that it is even possible.
 
I have this mini hotel in mind.. or buy a BUNCH of condominiums + of course 2 penthouses (one for me and one for my mom).

Condominiums good idea as well. I was also thinking to buy apts then have them rented :)
 
First buy myself a mansion, whatever cars I want, and a massive yacht docked at the River Thames

then I'd probably use some of the remaining money to do fucked up shit and bribe people

Really,

1. quit my job
2. call a trusted lawyer
3. call a trusted investment banker
4. call a trusted accountant
5. buy something nice for my family members
6. buy a car
7. make sure that foundation for charity and the trusts for my family I told the lawyer and investor to set up were all good
8. go on a really long vacation
 
Probably get a private island.
Hire a small crew to <SNIP>. Start businesses/invest. Start my own charity or charities so I don't feel like a d-bag, or provide a cushion from complete d-bagginess.
Pay off debt. Provide vacations to my family, and a couple of watercraft. Buy a motorcycle... something cool. Buy a fast car. Buy a helicopter. Get my pilots license.
Pay a doctor to extract my white blood cells and inject them with various proteins and reintroduce the cells to my blood, to hopefully reprogram my immune system to not attack these proteins. The treatment is being researched, but it takes years to actually make it into accepted treatment. I need to just pay a doctor to do it outside of regulation.
Buy hookworms to combat auto immune/immune dysfunction.

Build a self sustaining community off the grid.

Am planning on doing this in a few years anyway (a friend really wants to live in the woods and has quite a bit of inheritance money.. he's spent the past few years learning how to do so) but more land / solar panels etc wouldn't go a miss ;) If we had enough solar panels we could then sell electricity to power companies to have a constant supply of money.

I'd travel the world and the seven seas..

Go into space.

Learn to skydive then ultimately do squirrel / wing suit jumps.

Learn to fly and buy a plane.

I would like to also be charitable but i don't trust charities (in the UK they can legally keep 80% of donations) so would probably hunt down deserving individuals or companies to hand cash over directly.
 
-I would buy some <supplements - not steroids to be sure as I wouldn't want to break the SO guidelines ;)>, handpick a bunch of personal trainers/scientologists versed in processing and that also play soccer/volleyball etc.
-Mercenaries that would be briefed in killing any unforeseen problems.
-Have grants for the families of my entourage even if they are losers, thief's and liars
-After my own person catches up with the rest of civilization, make it my business to win select people/a group over and have them admit they fucked up somehow.

1) pay off my mom's mortgage and give her the opportunity to do anything she ever compromised on for the sake of the family
2) buy back the family's old house
3) get reacquainted with old hobbies
4) invest all the money in bonds and go travel the world for a while
5) buy a parcel of land where I can have a garden and build a house
6) establish a grant to fund public art and sustainability projects
7) hold family reunions every month
