I always like to build up the anticipation a bit, so I would rather start with a small movie (or other) fragment instead of a track.

For techno, this would be the Full Metal Jacket Suicide Scene, slowly fading away after the 'full metal jacket' line (perhaps simple repeat on the 'jacket' part as the next track comes up). At the same time, I would then let the first track come up, probably the Oscar Mulero Remix of Grovskopa - Jauhar.

If it was in the middle of a pumping rave, I would pick X-101 - Sonic Destroyer; no need to fuck up the pace with my anticipation bullshit if everybody is already going crazy. ;)
