Say, someone wasn't depressed and he didn't have an anxiety disorder. What would happen if this person took an SSRI every day for a few months?

You'd get the normal SSRI side effects while your body adjusts to it and possibly feel a slightly elevated mood after 6-8 weeks. Really wouldn't be worth it IMO as the side effects are kind of unpredictable and very from person to person. (Depression, increased energy, decreased energy, insomnia, oversleeping, nausea etc.)

So, if you're already happy it makes you hallier?

Eh.. 'happiness' isn't something that can really be quantified. It'll increase serotonin. If you're not suffering from depression or anything else that indicates lack of serotonin in the body, you'll probably only get the side effects. Whatever you're hoping to achieve, it's not gonna be worth going on a course of SSRIs that aren't necessary.

You might get some of the SSRI side effects but you're not going to get high. Don't take an antidepressant if you're not depressed, it's not a recreational drug :)

Am going to close this, if anyone has any queries feel free to shoot me a pm.
