what would be the cheapest days for new years international flight

My main thing is to be there when the clock strikes midnight. i want to be well-restd so arriving b4 the 31st is ideal. i would like to leave on the second... however, if it would be cheaper to extend my stay than i will.. info on dates,time would be appreciated.. ii want to book this flight in advance but need a passport first (which will be expedited.) coincidentally, i ran into an old neighbor the other day who wanted to travel to England for a short trip as well. hes on probation though. i told him it wasn't a good idea but he said he wont get caught...dont they do background checks upon departure/arrival? well supposedly he left monday, (he had purchased a flight ahead of time) i dont have his number or fbook so no way of telling..idc if he gets caught though bc hes a druggie that steals..im just wondering out of curiosity-- but more important...how could i make it to my party on new years. do i need a visa or special arrangements? ive never left the usa before. can i accomplish this in a month? i just want to surprise a friend, have a few drinks, and go home...so ifvthey require an address id spoil the surprise part...anyways cheapest and fastest please

Check a travel site for the flights and check your passport office and country's laws about getting a passport and travelling with a criminal record.
