I would never willingly take Abilify, but no, I don't see how it boosts the high of opiates.
It could be mildly sedating due to being an alpha adrenergic agonist and having very negligible affinity as a muscarinic receptor antagonist... but all the funky DA/5-HT effects it has, I can't really say what that would render on opiates, other than reducing the enjoyment for someone who doesn't need all of that going on, to be honest.
If you "need" it, then you're probably just more calm and actually nodding out instead.
Awesome, someone uses a gravity like me! %)
I agree with you Cap, it's a very non-selective atypical psychotic. It looks like it would lead to a lot of downstream effects seeing as it is a partial D2 and 5HT1agonist. It seems in Europe they don't use it unless there are psychotic symptoms present, but here in Western medicine it seems they are coupling it with other SSRI/SNRI/NaSSa/DNRIs without a psychotic component to the diagnosis. I was wondering if it could help improve MADD, SAD, or GAD as I have all of the aforementioned conditions, coupled with chronic pain. Again, I don't want to clog up our forum on this, but this isn't the question I was asking. Sorry, I should have been more clear in my original question. I just thought since the forum wasn't focused around opiates that it wasn't the answer people would think of.
Feel free to chime in via PM Cap'n.
