🌟🌟 Social 🌟🌟 What TV Shows are You Binging v. Cut That Cord!

Been watching a series called Wire in the Blood this past week, just finished the first series. Really enjoying it thus far. I enjoy a good British murder mystery.
 
Watched the last episode of The Pitt tonight - really enjoyed this season. If you like medical dramas and shows rooted in accuracy/realism while being well written and super humane, it's worth checking out.

Also saw episode 1 of the new season of Euphoria - thought it was fucking awesome. Reminded me a lot of Tony Scott, Quentin Tarantino, Brett Easton Ellis, and Paul Thomas Anderson with its aesthetic, musical score (Hans Zimmer!) and love of Los Angeles. Sam Levinson who makes the show clearly knows a bit about this lifestyle as well, and a big inspiration for this season has been his anger over the accidental overdose of one of the actors from Fentanyl in between season 2 and season 3. He was giving an interview and expressing just how angry he was that despite hundreds of thousands of Americans dead from Fentanyl, it is still flooding our streets and poisoning people's lives. I look forward to seeing where they take this season.
 
My brothers friend was in this BBC comedy series and I was going through it again the other night and I forgot how pant wettingly funny some of it is. This song is a classic .. you'll never again have an opportunity to hear a rhyme for "Sexual offences act 2003" again.

Hope it doesn't cause any offense. it's British humour and you can probably get the basic idea from what I've said so far. Approach with suitable caution / sense of humour.

Babylon 5, probably my favorite show of all time, second only to Twin Peaks.

Also watching Life on Mars starring John Simm. Really enjoying it so far.
 
right now my partner and I are binging through the entirety of Supernatural. it’s my first time watching it, just never really got around to watching it. they’ve seen it multiple times and were in the fandom back in the day. we’re about halfway thru, quality definitely dropped off after season 5 but i’m still enjoying it (plus Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki are SO hot, my god)

we just finished watching thru House MD before starting this

Wincest.

Yeah I couldn’t watch it after season 5, that show should have died and instead it went for ten more frickin seasons.
 
Started rewatching Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the first time since it was current (well, no, I was like 5 when it started...I watched season 5 as it aired then bought the - VHS 'cause I'm fucking ancient - box sets of the first 4 seasons, while waiting for season 6 to come out).
Still like it, but only like half-way through season 2 so far.

Oh, God, I remember when "Wincest" (it's exactly what it sounds like) was SUPER popular on like YouTube and Tumblr lol.

I've never seen the show. I do want to, but it's length intimidates me (first time I've said *that* :P). Like...each season is 20+ episodes and aren't there like 15 or 16 seasons?

yeah i never really used Tumblr at the peak of the SuperWhoLock era, but even i was aware of “wincest” lmao. yeah there’s 15 seasons and 20-25 episode. they definitely milked the series dry for every penny they could.

valid, it should have ended at the end of s5. i could even understand a season 6 to wrap things up. but between the 10 extra seasons, comics, and spin offs it’s obvious it’s a dead horse they’ll keep beating as long as it keeps spitting out money lmao. i’m still enjoying it well enough but they set the standard so high with the the first 5 seasons that the mediocre shit that came after feels worse cause you know they can do better. it’s obvi they got lazy with it.

wish more shows just ended. not getting canceled or running too long. just wrap up the story and end the l
