i actually thought about you earlier today while i was driving home in the car, with SYSTEM OF A DOWN playing at full volume. some embarrassing headbanging, witnessed by innocent passerbys, may have been involved. ;)

would i be correct in guessing that you like a bit of SOAD too? they're fucking ace.

Nothing embarrassing about headbanging. Air guitar, however, isn't recommended if you're driving.

SOAD are just about the only metal band of recent decades who actually make me stop and listen. They remind me of the Bad Brains sometimes. Syncopation and proper musicianship rather than that "chug, chug, wuuuuuuuurrrrggggh!" that dominates these days. Not that I'm impartial to the odd chug and wuuuuuurrrgggh, but it wears me out after a while.

Am in more chilled mood so far today meself. Just had various ambienety/chilly/"psydub"/"psybient" (or so it says on the "Genre" column here anyway) mixes playing this morning. Wouldn't bother posting usually cos individual tracks don't really mean much - tis more the ebb and flow of the mix that pleases - but just clicked a PooToob linky for something totally unrelated (not even anything musical) and noticed the only actual music vid in the "Recommended" column was by the band that just happened to be on at the time. Was such odd synchronicity that I'm posting it even though it's not one of their best.
