What to Wear
A hard decision
Does it really matter?
When you’re dead who cares
If that dress makes you seem fatter
Should you look your best?
For when you arrive at the pearly gates
Or should you go casual
Like a date with your mates
If you wear a uniform
Then you have died for a cause
But why take a risk if
You won’t live to hear the applause
If it’s an open casket
Should you do make up
But you don’t want to look to alive
People will fear you will wake up
I’ll tell you what to wear
I’m the one who’ll be looking
There won’t be a reflection for you
Beautician’s something I wouldn’t bother booking
Wear a smile
Show me you’re free
Even a little smirk
You being happy is what I need to see
Wear a tear or two
Cool crisp puddles
I’ll have some you can borrow
Remind me of your warm cuddles
Don’t close your eyes
I need to see into your soul
So I can make sure you’re at peace
To make the grieving whole
Let your hair roam free
Like your spirit in outer space
I want you to be remembered forever
I want you to go with grace
Place your hands by your side
Be patient as you flow
Then again if you had patience and faith
