what to say when you get pulled over in the hood

"..better yet tell him none of your business, ask him where he's been..or just tell him thats my private life sir which is none of your concern, "

Yeah try that one in the ghetto and see how many times you get popped upside the head.. I KINDA tried to argue my way out of getting cuffed for poss of a gram of pot in the ghetto and got popped upside the head 4-5 times, knocked my fucken glasses off.. narcotics cops in rough downtown areas don't play at all..

If you get pulled over in the ghetto, and your address isn't anywhere near there, you better have a good reason why you're there.

And believe me, it needs to be at least half credible. Cops have heard it all. From "I'm lost, officer" to "I'm lookin' for something to eat/gas." They know what's up. But, if you're clean, they can't do shit to you. If you're dirty, or have a previous drug arrest, expect to be hassled and most likely searched.

Oh, and expect the "I better not see you around here again!" line.

PS: The smart cops will wait until after you've copped and pull you over then. If they're not undercover and haven't seen you with a dealer, most will just follow you around for a bit. They'll hope you break a traffic law or that you'll get scared and just leave the area.

"Best to not say anything. You technically aren't allowed to drive without a destination, so always have a destination in mind."

what the fuck are you talking about? quit spewing made up bullshit, what is wrong with you. god are you really this stupid?

know your rights

For anybody who is stopped by the police, you should KNOW your rights and do NOT say anything that will raise suspicion... like lying about where you're going and then contradicting yourself when questioned further. That is probable cause for the police to "investigate" further.

Print this out, READ it and understand it, fold it up and keep it with you at all times. It fits nicely in your wallet or purse and can be kept with your car registration.

http://www.popcenter.org/problems/problem-cruising_p3.htm This site says a few things on the matter:
Enacting and enforcing cruising ordinances.

Typical cruising ordinances regulate how many times the same vehicle can pass a fixed point within a certain time.

A 1988 Boise (Idaho) Police Department survey of 229 police agencies serving populations of more than 50,000 revealed that most jurisdictions had some form of local ordinance regulating cruising (Carvino 1990). See also Gofman (2002)

however, it also says:
Cruising ordinances have led to legal challenges. Most courts have held that, while the right to travel “has long been recognized by the courts as inherent in our…personal liberty,”government has a legitimate interest in regulating vehicle traffic. The courts have concluded that cruising ordinances are valid insofar as they prohibit only repetitive driving in specific locations, and do not impede regular travel. Where such ordinances have been successfully challenged, it has usually been on the grounds that they were impermissibly vague. In other challenges to cruising ordinances, such as when police ticketed a delivery truck driver for cruising, the court has held that the ordinance regulated all motorists uniformly and thus was not discriminatory.

hope this helps :D

Going to the hood at night is nothing but problems. It's best to go during the day. Most companies like steel plants are in the hood. Knowing the area is very important & if you get rolled on say" I just got off work " That statement will only work if you are alone.

Good lookin!....That sounds a whole lot different than "You aint legally allowed to drive unless you have somewhere that you are going to." LOL! The cruisin laws make more sense and that is definately some shit im aware of. Its still kinda silly but whatever.........Thas why GETTING LOST when you are coppin is just as bad as not usin a blinker , etc. You drive around not knowin where youre goin and a cop sees you pass more than once or 2 times then you are gettin pulled over, thas why you should know where youre goin. That statement is the more sensible realistic and reasonable version of the confused point TheoRoosevelt was tryin to make....ya know..the one grounded in the truth and not some assumed made up misunderstanding of it. :)

yeah ive gotten pulled over in the hood with two of my buddies tryna cop some dope and it was the first time for me and i lied and said i was looking for a certain street which was like on the total opposite side of the city and the two cops were also grillin my other friends and my buddy told the truth. its better to tell the truth to the cop.

the cops ended up searchin the vehicle and found a sock on the door pocket filled with like 4 syringes, a spoon with residue, cotton swabs, and a crackpipe with residue. we didnt have any actual substance on us cuz my friend swallowed like two coke viles when he saw the cop behind us.

they ended up just giving us a hard time and shit and let us go cuz we didnt cop dope yet. he could have been an even more of an asshole by writing us up for the paraphenalia but in downtown baltimore they wont even bother with paperwork unless you have drugs on you.

so yeah the moral of the story is just tell them the truth...cuz cops HATE it when you lie to them especially in a notorious drug area where they deal with alot of people tryna cop shit and they get pissed when people give lame excuses. the cop will respect you more if you tell the truth to them and keep it honest, and admit you have a problem and you are going to seek help. :|
