Opioids What to expect on first experience with Oxycontin?

Hey guys, I was simply wondering what to expect if I snorted 10mg of Oxy.
First, is that a good starting dosage? (I weigh 130 pounds)
Second, should I expect nausea? I've heard that some people felt a little queasy on their first experience.
Third, is it still safe to take if I'm on other meds? (Citalopram - Antidepressant, Naproxen - Pain reducer)

Any other information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys.

OxyContin or oxycodone or Percocet?

DO NOT snort Percocet. It's pointless, and you'll clog your schnozzola with all that powder

The new OxyContin are notoriously tough to break down and snort. If its an old school OC, different story.

That leaves 10mg oxy IR. these are easily snortable. The bioavailability is so high orally though that its kind of a waste. It does come on faster though.

My advice is to eat 5 mg (if its perc or ir oxy) and see how you feel, and add more if needed. I have a naturally low tolerance and 5 mg of oxy used to have me RIPPED. Sadly, those days are over, which leads to my next point: if you have no experience with opiates, consider not doing it, or at the least being super careful. I chipped for a long time, but eventually ended up hooked.

As for the effects, you'll feel warmth, euphoria, and either stimulation or sedation, maybe both. My girl gets super stimulated on oxy, whereas I just want to nod. It's different for everyone. Good luck and be safe.

If it's 10mg of pure oxycodone and not one of those "Oxycontins" then you'll be safe snorting 10mg. It's not a lot, but for someone who's never taken an opiate, you should experience euphoria and overall well being. You may experience some nausea but I've never seen anyone get real sick off that dose before.

Start by doing 5mg, wait 15 minutes or so and evaluate how you feel. Then do the other 5mg and you should be good. Enjoy.

Do you think people would drive their SUV through the front of a pharmacy at 2AM because oxy makes them feel like shit?

C'mon OP take a wild guess and answer your question.

It's going to make you feel good. What to expect? Bliss. Nothing will matter. I took 25mg of hydrocodone my first time and no nausea, but the nausea isn't really that bad. Once you puke it's over.

I remember my first opiate experience, probably the greatest drug experience of my life. I went into the experience with literally zero expectations. Now I'm addicted to opiates. Go figure. :\

Honestly OP, I would not do it at all. Once you feel that warm opiate blanket on you, you'll never wanna give it up

You should get really itchy and projectile vomit, it feels preetty good imo...miss those days.

Ahahaa, I'm guessing you're rather young based on your size. Or maybe a lady, but you gave your weight so I'm guessing not ;)

10mg oxycodone is what I did my first time on opiates. It's a good place to start. I kinda sorta thought I felt it, and maybe I did, but it wasnt til I took 3-4x that amoun that I really could get my jollies off. I've found I have a little higher natural tolerance than other people. This is of course me just being a non-dependent and still requiring a relatively higher dose to get high.

Take it all at once. You're not going to die or anything. And don't take what the few addicts out of the huge number of people who try drugs as end all be all advice. Like those who say you'll never want to stop, as if they know your tastes. Or even worse and say no one ever stops. Fun fact, if you look up how many people end up being addicted to heroin after trying it at least once, it's 1/4. 23% is the number of people who get addicted.

Good luck, try to have fun and don't expect too much. Can't be let down that way

Please don't downplay the threat of addiction. While it certainly doesn't happen to everyone, the ramifications if it does happen are severe enough to merit warning newbies of the possibility. It's just irresponsible to give advice and completely disregard the addictive potential of opiates.

No it's higher than weed of course, which is like 6-9% of people get addicted to that. Higher than you would think for marijuana tbh.

Of course OP you do get withdrawals from opiates, but that's not something you're going to have to worry about for a little experimentation.

I don't think I was downplaying the threat of addiction. One out of four odds is look to your left, look to your right, look at the guy behind you. The drug you are all about to try will claim the soul of one of you. Drugs are statically speaking probably not going to end you in addiction, but if it does it can hurt(or so I've been told).

Fun fact, that is an unbelievably high amount! If I had known 23% get addicted I probably would never had tried it. As for 6-9% of people smoking weed becoming addicted, weed addiction is, well... not really an addiction compared to opiates. In the immortal words Bob Saget in Half-Baked: "Marijuana is not a drug. I used to suck dick for coke. Now that's an addiction. You ever suck some dick for marijuana?"

Of course it's a high number, but I perceived the number to be at least 70-80% when I was in my teens. I guess it's all how you were raised.

Perception of how many people would get addicted out of everyone who's tried it. Yeah I got a source. I linked it in another thread hold up refresh the page in about 3mind after post time and ill edit it in.

Figure from Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Science.

It's the same number from my psych class like 4-5 yrs ago when I was in high school. Surprised me then

Idk it won't hyperlink but copy paste. It's been doing this too me when I use my phone, sux

25% is still a damn high number when discussing addiction. Factor in all the other dangers and opiate use is an extremely risky career prospect.
Regardless of this, im sure the OP will try them anyway since they already have the pill.lol
OP, do 5mg orally to start with. You have no tolerance and 5mg by mouth is where a doctor would start, this will be the safest way to test the water.
If you take it orally then wait 2hrs before redosing so you can be sure to have peaked (about half that time for insufflation).
Remember, if your irst dose wasnt enough then you can re-dose but if you take too much at the start then your in for a very uncomfortable time.
Opiate/iods are powerful drugs, be sensible.

Yeah if you can get more pills you could start at 5mg, but don't expect too much even at 10. I mean some people get buzzed at 10 I hear, but after requiring 30, I'm inclined to think their just lil baybehs.

If you only have 10mg and don't know where to get more, as was the case for me when I weighed about that(hehe), just take both. Worst(best IMHO) case it'll be a heavy experience, and on the other hand, you may just feel nothing or next to it.

Toss em down the hatch and cross your fingers if you want my advice ;)

P.S. you want a really high number for addiction, tobacco is like 33% of users get addicted. A lot of factors here though, and you got to remember these are statistics. It doesn't mean it will or will not necessarily happen to you.
