What to expect at first rave?

Expect the unexpected. Not to be cliche, but really, every rave is different.

Sense you plan on doing substances, I would recomend trying to stick by at least one of your friends incase you start to feel uncomfortable. Make a meet up place you can periodically check back to incase you loose your group.

Keep an open mind and try not to judge the things you see. Of course there will be some bad apples there, but don't let it get you down. Try not to get too caught up in the drug you're doing, remember you can always get fubared at home. ;)

Have a good time. Peace

like a couple other people said, make sure you don't go overboard with the drugs. even though you've rolled before, it's a completely different experience. once you've had enough time to take it all in, pop some more if you get the urge.

enjoy your friends
enjoy the lights and the sounds and the people you meet.

have a great time, and let us know how it went!

remember to take your sunglasses. when you emerge back into the daylight of the early dawn, they will be a godsend...

a woolly hat is nice too...

Find a wall spot near where a pretty girl is dancing. Sit and stare at her, never smiling. She'll eventually come over and offer sex.

Ya know, from my experience, this is not far from the truth. ;)

nothing says "ive been on a raging drug/alcohol binge all night" better than a pair of dark sunglasses!

I would expect to see a bunch of 12 year old kids wearing pink and yellow and orange pants with a bunch of ridiculous jewlerey that 5 year olds should be wearing. Also everyone will be asking what type of dope you need unless they really came to see the music. I am from Cincinnati, but I am lucky enough to have to a party @ State Palace and that place is off the hook. I went to a party there and I was sober and it was probably one of the best parties I have ever been to. The crowds there should be friendly and there should be some old school kids there as well, I was lucky enough to meet a crew of kids that had been going to parties since 92 and they introduced me to a lot of people. I don't think that there is a much better venue for a party, the sound, lighting and talent will all be off the hook, I hope you have fun.

We all make our own luck.

Wow Mr. Wood.

You sound like half the jaded queens I know.

The other half don't care about kiddie parties in the slightest, probably because they think there are too many punk-asses and their tart gashes standing around like a bunch of fucking Sid-n-Nancy fans that misssed that time in music by about 25 years.
