Opioids What to do with my poppies.

Hi, so my garden is full of a range of poppies (All Papaver Somniferum) which I am wondering what to do with.

I had heard of simply harvesting the latex at the correct time and ingesting about a matchhead sized amount to start. Is there any truth in this?

I know a fair bit about PST & PPT but most of the time I honestly can't be bothered to go through with the processes involved.
