What ticks you off?

Doctors asking me why I'm prescribed certain medications when it should be obvious.

Next time I'm asked why I take clonazepam I'm just gonna reply "cos they're yummy!"
 
^lol some doctors are pretty dense. When I mentioned to my GP that quitting clonazepam cold turkey could put me into seizures and potentially kill me, he laughed it off and told me I was exaggerating... 8)

My pet peeve of the day: Overuse of the word "amazing" is getting fucking annoying. I'm sick of hearing about what an "amazing" breakfast you (plural) had, that "amazing" pair of shoes you found on sale or that absolutely "amazing" movie you watched etc. Every single thing you do is NOT amazing...learn how to use words in the proper context please.

Since I'm on a grammar/spelling nazi trip, people spelling "happiness" with a "y" annoys me too. OTOH, beginning sentences with "And" does not annoy me in the least.

What winds me up is people phoning me trying to sell me stuff i don't want, i've no idea where they get my number from...
 
Being on a weekly dispense program for my benzos. It's annoying as hell.

This is why we never even answer the home phone anymore :D
If anyone really needs to get in contact with me or my partner they can call our mobiles. Otherwise it's not important.
 
the thing that pisses me off the most is mostly myself. i have high expectations of myself and low self-esteem. also when people just talk constantly.. it seems like people seem to have forgotten the importance of silence. if you talk ALL the time, then your words mean nothing at all. if you dont say anything unless you mean it, what you say means a lot more..
 
^ I've solved the first problem by lowering the expectations I have of myself... much less disappointment that way. :\
 
Owing money in fines that I in no way can pay, and now have went to collections, and I'm now going to have to violate parole and stay on longer to pay off my dept, not to mention that means I have 1 violation already so if something even minor occurs (which can happen without me doing anything whatsoever) I go to jail for 1+ year... this sucks.

^ No doubt I'll be facing the same problem soon. I'll probably be getting a $1000 fine for possession of a pipe, and then there's the fines for dangerous driving and possession of meth. I hate to think how much debt I'll be in.
 
DP: if you can prove that you don't have the means to pay the fines how can they hold that against you? Or did you incur them after your jail stint?
 
People not reading posts before replying. Lots of times someone will ask a question about a particular post and if they'd actually READ the entire post the answer would be obvious.

There was a good thread in another forum on BL that discussed how people tend to scan text on the internet rather then read it thoroughly. I'm guilty of this also, but now I try to catch myself when I'm doing it and read rather than scan, especially if it's a longer post.

But if you're gonna write a long post please break it up into chunks so it's not one big wall of words.

My dad. He's IMPOSSIBLE to watch movies with. If he's seen it, he'll talk through the entire thing, telling you what happens right before it happens. If he hasn't seen it, he'll talk through it anyway and at the end he seems to know exactly what went on in the movie but I have no clue because I spent the whole time listening to him.
Holy crap.

You mean when I got carded? Yep, I said those exact words.

I don't think meth has made me gross (I still do alright with the guys!), but I've lost heaps of weight since I started using.
