that's kinda my vibe right now. been on hydro 10's for over a year for severe lower back arthritis and spurs. started off with great results... pain goes away and i get a decent buzz to boot. now, it comes and goes. i'm prescribed 4 per day and have been taking 1.5 in the am and 2.5 in the evening. so here's the question... why are the buzzes so inconsistent? my rationale may be flicted, but i figure if i gotta take em for the pain, why not enjoy the buzz. was curious if anyone has experience with this and advice on how to maximize the full benefits of the hydros. thx in advance.

You could always um.... Take more lol? That's the general rule of thumb. Or switch to something stronger.

Aside from that, you can potentiate opiod several ways such as certain grapefruit juices, otc benadryl (or most any antihistamines), or ask your doctor for Phenergan. Phenergan is interesting because it greatly potentiates opiods and is very easy to get from a doc if you say "my pain meds make me nauseated". Phenergan will destroy the nausea, stretch your buzz a bit, but make you sleepy. Then last but not least, there is always good old fashioned alcohol to potentiate those painkillers. I remember my first few times. A couple of lortabs and a couple of beers would have me in heaven.

You could try benzos (xanax Valium ativan -) with your pain meds but be sure to take lower doses of each. Take high precaution when trying to synergize and make the most of your drugs. It can be fatal.

Hope that answers your question

It also depends how full your stomach is when you take it. When your stomach is full (like after a big meal) it will take longer to get into your system -> not as big of an effect. Try taking your usual dose on an empty stomach.
