They merged North American Social with North American Drug Discussion.
Which is exactly the type of forum i like.
Where you can socialize AND talk about drugs. Thats where the lounge failed. WTF kind of rule is no drug discussion on BL? doesnt make sense to me. :\

...so i just listened to this new Animal Collective song where they sample the grateful dead. its pretty sick.
heres the article about it on Jambase and a link.

Animal Collective Get Rights To First Legal Grateful Dead Sample Ever

Animal Collective
We've long known that Animal Collective's roots run deep into the jam world, and now we have serious proof! JamBase just got word of a Tweet from the band's management which said: "Animal Collective confirmed to get first officially licensed Grateful Dead sample! Phil Lesh loved the track please pass this to the guys." Sick! So not only is AC sampling the Dead but Phil loves it!

The track in question is "What Would I Want Sky" which includes a sample of The Grateful Dead's "Unbroken Chain." No word yet on if the song will be released, but you can check it out right now at http://iguessimfloating.net/assets.mp3 (that's the best version we've found on the ol' interweb). You can also just go to the blog post if you'd prefer at: http://iguessimfloating.blogspot.com. Dig Phil's voice floating around amongst the angels and digital weirdness... so cool!

my dad is super chill, he likes shpongle (well, raja ram for his flautist skillz; my dad is a flautist)! he lives 6k miles away so it would be pretty hard to take him anywhere, really.

np: phish - drowned (at jones beach, ny 6/4/09)

this song is insane! especially as it flows to the next jam (jones beach jam) and continues to entice your eardrums.

jones beach is such a beautiful venue
The stage is like literally in the ocean.
and there are stadium seating, so i like to go all the way to the top, it feels like you're in the clouds (not for those afraid of heights).
Feels great to be tripping on acid and dancing to beautiful music through the clouds.
