What sort of questions are OK?

If I buy a pill, say what it is supposed to be, and ask if that sounds like it is the real thing, is that OK>? Or not?

If I name a vendor or manufacturer, say in India, and I have never heard of them before, am I allowed to ask if others have heard of the company and and vouch for its veracity and honesty (in their opinion)?

No, we do not allow pill IDs (too much room for error). We also cannot comment on vendors. The best thing to do would be to order a test kit.
