What song fits your current mood? vs. The universe and I create these notes

I happened to be talking about playing the drums to my son this morning, and mentioned that Keith Moon had been an extraordinary drummer IMHO.

I played him this at volume, he's now a fan :D

I know, I've only been going to free parties since 2002 but I have been going.

Been to a few that have attracted multiple thousands but we're not talking lechlade or castlemorton. Probably the largest was UKTek 2005 or 2006. Interestingly the teknivals that were essentially started on the continent by Spirsl still attract up to 100k over the course of the weekend, only been once but wouldn't mind going back.

This really belongs on the Vent thread but since if I was to have to choose a favourite band PIL would it and this track kind covers my vent rant its here. My 6 year old son goes to what has, and is a good non faith primary school.

For reasons I'm still unable to establish a decent reason for ,despite a polite but firm letter expressing my deep objection to their actions they chose to allow a number of representatives from the Jehovah's Witnesses 'organisation' to basically carry out a preaching session during a school assembly and then distributed literature aimed at young children, all without my prior knowledge of consent.

The written response from the school headmaster was superficial and dismissive of my concerns, I've deicide to leave it in the hop that he will consider more carefully such things in future.

Before anyone thinks I have a problem with my child learning about religion this could not be further from the truth, it is often discussed and for various reasons he has attended a few main stream Christian church services. I'm keen for him to learn about Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism (although I respect the fact that this is not really a religion a such) .

I have great distrust of organisations like the Jehovah's Witnesses and whilst I wish the individuals no harm I find some of their views range from the utterly vile and offensive to the totally ridiculous and ignorant, I'm sorry if this offends anyone but we (humans) have taken religion and in many cases made it a vile and evil thing .

I did wonder a fair bit, apparently we are already in 'The End of Days' They believe that when 'the End' finally comes only 144,000 human beings will go to Heaven and rule the Earth from there with Christ - these are known as the anointed.

 


Was it really a favor to birth me into this nihilistic hell?
