What side are you on?

This aint one of those polls or whatever "what kind of user are you" this is actually serious
Im jsut curious to see how many peeps here have made it to the point where you realize drugs just aint all its cracked up to be, where you laugh at your past self thinking its so great. I dont know how to ask that question without making 2 catagories cause what Im talking about is actually 2 groups u feel? not just made up groups to put yourself in at least to me it means something its a serious question

No doubt im long past my spring chicken phase, shit I aint even done every drug there is to do but Im far along into "just gimme weed cigarettes and some liquor and a porch to chill on"
esp. people who go thru addictions tend to have more jaded attitudes about drugs obviously
I think if i posted this in the Dark Side the ratio of "yb" to "og" would be the opposite it is here, cuz here everybody except a few peeps is all young and into it

oh yea for the record i said "drug OG" cuz shit, i dont liek to say that word about someone who aint one, hate to use it lightly like it is here but it describes the shit so well
 
i'm pretty much over everything but opiates. at this point you would have to pay me to fuck with psychedelics or speed. and i would use that money to buy dope. i don't know what that makes me.

i think its interesting though how many people who gravitate towards drugs in general, after tryin em all, settle on opiates. i have seen this happen to countless people.
 
Yeah, I'm SO over psychedelics. After years and years and years of constant use, I'm finally breaking down. I keep having abnormal thought...and every time I trip all I can think about is Jefferey Dahmer, and how he must have been on psychedelics to do what he did...and then it just gets more gruesome from there. I'm scared of what mushrooms can do to me, so after hundreds of trips I'm finally done.

Now pass that weed :)

I'm pretty much done the experimenting stage.
I've found my drug of choice, the almighty and sacred gange plant.
I do LSD from time to time, and feed my meth addiction on an irregular basis.

Cut the young users some slack, you used to be ignorant and naive once upon a time, as well.

I'm 30, and everything's still as fun as always. So I'm a young buck I guess.

People need to learn to not burn themselves out and enjoy drugs without overdoing it to the point of negativity.

What's sad is that many of the OG people responding here are probably still in their 20s!

The ONLY shitty thing that's changed is that the cocaine's got more ephedrine and shit in it.

And i dont know where u from cuz i never heard of no coke with ephedrine in it maybe cuz i stopped doin coke over a yr ago and avoid it so i dont know whats goin on?
 
to the comment about cutting the young bucks some slack...

you dont have to be ignorant about drugs to still have fun experimenting w/ them. every drug i have tried (and will try) i have read up on alot so i knew about whats going to happen, know all the risks, etc. and glenn, i dont think you were meaning that all young users are naive, just saying...
 
i'm probably in between and am 19 years old. I've at least experimented with most substances and have seen friends become addicted to cocaine/crack and opiates. I had a slight coke addiction which has given me a negative vibe about the entire thing.

I used to be balls-out into drugs, but after a while I realized I was just making more problems for myself and at the same time quickly emptying my bank account.

Don't get me wrong, I still smoke all the time and drink several days a week (I have thought about quitting alcohol and have definately cut back, but going to one of the top 5 alcohol-consuming campuses in the country makes it a bit hard to do). I still use psychedelics (about once a month or less) and roll about that often. It's not that I'm jaded about drugs, it's just that some very chaotic things can quickly change your view about the world. It just takes its toll after awhile.

As for jaded drug users, this week I ran into two people who told me they had been on Phish's tour back in 94-95. Extremely interested in the subject (planning on going on tour with some bands this summer), I inquired about the experience only to get blank faces and a serious lack of good vibes. All the guys wanted was some coke...
 
OG but addicted to drugs. Nothing thrilling about it. Nothing really bad about it. Always feel like i need to get high, but dont give a fuck if i dont. It's strange. Yet not.
