I personally don't get the whole "violence" and sex combo... Almost every ex bf and girlfriend I've had has been into that shit and I fucking hate it. Personally I have no desire to physically harm people I care about.. And I sure as fuck dont like being harmed myself. I associate violence with enemies. With people that are cruel, malicious and evil. Then again to each their own.. But I'm curious to how the fuck sex and violence suddenly became normal to combine. Maybe I'm the weird one.. But I'd never hurt anyone I care about physicslly. My ex tried to get me to bite her to the point of like bleeding once and it gave me horrible anxiety. My mind does not associate the 2 at all. When I think violence.. I think trying to hurt someone I hate.. Or defending someone I love. Not hurting those I love.

I am in complete agreement with your sentiments here, its too weird to get my head around that shit and in the past when a sex partner has asked me to go beyond a little spank, or love bite, I get uncomfortable enough to lose wood. I have friends and have heard from numerous people that are into choking, slapping, spitting, etc but honestly it fucking freaks me out and try as I might leads me to form a judgement of those individuals on the spot...its part of the reason I dont entertain conversations about sex anymore with friends once they are in a committed relationship

This x 200. I broke up with an ex once because they said they wanted to tie me up. At first I just said no ... But then I started having this reoccurring fear that I'd wake up one morning tied up and they'd torture me or something. It scared me. Literally. And it takes a lot to scare me to be honest. I've been in and seen some pretty intense shit in my life.. But that's one of my only phobias. Being tortured. I've seen hostel and many other horror movies "torture porn" if you will... Hell no. Hell to the no.

I mean.. Everything you said sums it up. If I start going on dates with someone and they express they want more than love bites, maybe very gentle spanking.. Etc. Interesting.. Haha. To each their own. I could never muster up the strength to hit someone I love or care about unless I was protecting myself. I wouldn't be able to tolerate being hit or choked. It makes me sad because I wish I could learn to tolerate such things in the case I fall for someone who needs those things to be sexually satisfied but let me tell you. Yea I can imagine if you're not into that kind of stuff, it would be pretty off putting to have a partner who is and wants you to hurt/dominate them.
