JCU (and I'm pretty sure all uni's these days) have something called "SafeAssign" which is a program that scans your assignment and compares it to every other assignment in it's database as well as references from the net. If it detects more than 6 words in a row that are the same as anything else you're in trouble.

But either way, copying and pasting is never going to get you a halfway decent mark. I just need more hours in the week.
 
^ Yep, Griffith have safeassign. It's a right pain in the ass, but I never haven't had an issue with it so far.............
 
I agree, I hate drug dealers who use the power of the bag, like babbling on and on because they're high and youre not and you don't give a shit what they have to say, especially since you're not high yet.
I hate people who make one word replies on texts, especially stupid ones like "lol" I have changed "OMg" to "OMFG" which at least gives it some personality
I hate it when I go shopping at a department store and there are thousands of Mexican women in there with theyre bored crying children, who they don't even notice are having total meltdowns, not to m)ention it begs the question: how do they afford to be shopping all the live long day? When I work my ass off and make a very good amount of money and I STiLL couldnt afford the sheer volume of things they are always buying.
I hate that I have a drug problem and can't tell anyone, not a soul, about it, because I would lose my children forever, and I hate that the media always portrays people who use drugs as all burnt out and disgusting when you would never know I am on anything, (except when I am not, then I look like shit) and I often wonder if there are others like me? Putting on this charade for years has been so stressful...on the other hand, if I didn't I would be depressed for so long and probably wouldn't last long...and no, antidepressents do not work, I was on them for YEARS, every kind, and it's all bullshit. The only thing they do is kill your libido. as if anyone wants that.
I hate all the rule followers and the non creative thinkers, the lowing herds, and I hate that there are way too many humans on the planet yet still, idiots continue to have 6 kids, even when their bladders are prolapsed and their uterus' are falling out, gross people!
I hate men because no matter how hot you are now, eventually you become just old whereas they become more distiguished and handsome, and I hate that they are always always always always masturbating to any woman that has come within their line of vision, even if they are totally inlove with their girlfriends...that's depressing! and I hate what porn has done, making every man, every disgusting unattractive man think that you are supposed to be sucking his cock at any given chance, that you love it up the ass, that you would be happy to bring your best friend into it...blah blah blah...you know, I remember a time when a man was just happy to be getting any pussy at all! and it was a gift if they got more...bastards.

A friend of mine has an annoying habit of replying to texts with just the letter "K" (meaning "okay").
 
Waiting for overseas order (motorola xoom) to arrive, in the mean time my pregnant wife due to give birth in less than a week and I 'fight' to use the only mobile net device, my EEEPC which I let her use probably 90% of the time she wants it, she's heavily pregnant, she deserves it IMHO. So Im WAITING for the overseas order to arrive, almost 2 days since ordered, should arrive late this week or mon/tue, I *HOPE* before the birth happens.

So, I hate not using the net when I like as my computers are located elsewhere than the heated loungeroom so I hardly spend time at them (such as now) since I hate this cold weather due to my nerve damage. So, a few things Im pissed with atm, but I'm laughing about it :P

Point form they are:

Wanting the net when I can't
Overseas order, like watching a kettle boil, TAKES TOOOOOOOOOO LONG!!!! FCKN!!!!
COLD weather, nerve damage and said cold weather ==== HATE

And a few very valid responses listed 'k' for a whole SMS is lame ;) Telstra sucks, hence the main reason besides hating ACER in not buying a local tablet, android 3.1 > ipad IMHO and Telstra sell the XOOM 'first' in Aus starting next week or so, I should have my overseas purchased tablet here before they go on sale at $250 more than I paid which included priority delivery ,,|, Telstra

And OMG to Taxi drivers, so many times in the car or motorbike I see their stupidity and/or selfishness when driving with a fare, i.e SLOW, missing lights etc so they rape the fare for as much $$$ as possible.. Plus their bad driving is LOL if it wasn't the sad fact that it's true...


All this said with me grinning LOL We had a pearler 'last hurrah' dinner tonight, Mum in-law babysat Cassie, we had a night 'free', DAMN impressive.. So impressive I posted in this thread.. HA.... Mr irony tonight!

And now Emma just said she's off to bed, I get to use my EEEPC in the warm lounge again. No more pissed off thread reading tonight :P
 
Old people who drive 10-20 below the speed limit, without noticing the huge line of vehicles backed up behind them.

And why do they always drive the same kind of hatchback cars?
 
Fuck heads that come to work sick as a dog 1 week before i fly to thailand! he said he doesn't want to use he's sick days when he's sick he'd rather use them for other stuff!!

im gona wrap a 2 by 4 around hes head if he gets me sick!!
 
^ I feel your pain, rick.shaw. I would wention something to your manager. This happens so much at my work, and I now have no problem with saying something. I know that anyone working for my organisation is either a permanent employee or a contractor on a very good day rate; i think it's beyond irresponsible to come into work when you are ill.

I can't stand the martyr attitude "oh i need to be here, or else the work won't get done". Well, even less work will get done when the whole freaking team is off sick. I also think that this behaviour is generally filtered down - if senior management won't take time off when sick, it can be difficult for a general staffer to feel comfortable taking time off without fear of repercussions (real or perceived). I was lucky last year - i was literally surrounded by sickness - 4 people sitting in my area had rancid illness, and i didn't get sick at all. Touch wood it's the same this winter.
 
^ I wouldn't level so much at employees (casual, fulltime, contractor or otherwise) before looking at management level first. In some places there are HR managers or direct supervisors etc can behave like ER nurses the way they attempt to diagnose sick workers. These practices intimidate workers and influence their decision when they are contemplating phoning in sick and taking the day off.

Having said that though, yes, of course there are too many fools who don't follow common sense when it comes to hygiene (washing hands etc) and other activities such as covering their mouth or disposing of tissues. Ignorance to the most basic social practices is unforgivable.

The other sad reality with workplace sickness is that the most contagious elements of the most common respiratory illnesses that get around workplaces are spread even before the ill worker begins to show symptoms.

I work at a cinema. Hours and hours off dealing with stuck up customers. However, I can deal with that. What really pisses me off is Popcorn! WHY CAN'T PEOPLE GET THE POPCORN IN THEIR FUCKING MOUTH!!!
