what part of the states do you get the best weed?

Having a thriving clone community where the best cuts of the strains are available and backed up by reputations means a lot. Sadly even the clubs often (usually?) don't have legit clones. Seed bank practices are often much worse. I don't really know about many places but I'd be surprised if that's really going on outside of amst/bc/cal/ore (ny maybe?). Would be cool if I'm wrong though like I said I'm guessing.

As far as ft collins goes i don't know what high times was smoking but i can guess. Am in co more than ca now and the entire front range is dominated by 2nd-tier or worse "high end". Ft Collins included and even Boulder surprisingly. Usually grown well and trimmed nicely but it seems common for even growers to not know what they're growing because they just picked a 1st gen bastard mom. Exceptions exist of course but generally that's whats up. At retail no one seems to care and they pay reasonably high prices so i'm sure there is little incentive to do anything else.

As for comparing to cali club weed, i've heard frequently that they request "seconds" to help their margins or otherwise don't have a lot of quality control. Personally much i've looked at or tasted is obviously sub-par. Even the shockingly priced trendy marquee brands often aren't that hot. So I agree if you compare to clubs it wouldn't seem that special at all.
 
in terms of pure best, you can get top quality blow-your-socks-off type shit anywhere, but in terms of availability, its better on the western side of the rockies.
 
Cali is notorious for having amazing weed, and from what I have had it's pretty good.

Most of New England has amazing weed.

New York generally speaking has good weed.

Florida has good weed if you know the right people, otherwise it's terrible

Alabama has the worst weed I've ever seen in my life

IMO the only good weed that has ever come out of Tennessee was The Hog, the rest blows from what I have had.

California has the most competition when it comes to growers so naturally it has the best weed. Though i'm sure there are other places that have just as good crops as Cali. Depends on the season
 
I've only smoked colorado medical, but it sure isn't my state(wisconsin).. I'd guess thought california.
 
To be honest I've smoked weed from a lot of places....and I'll put you down my top 3 and why. One: California.....I've had soooooo many dank strains that I think I've honestly forgotten some....haha. Two: British,Colombia: I went there on a school trip once, and I shit you not right as we got off a bus a buddy and I were talking to a few locals and in a few minutes we placed our self an O in 10 minutes .....haha not to mention cheap as fuck and great quality....(also best snowboarding of my life at Black comb mountain) and number three would be my home state, Alaska: We have a huuuuuuge scene down here and a lot of local-quality bud is sold-smoked here.
 
I've lived most of my adult life in either North Jersey or Brooklyn, and I can confidently say that there is no shortage of top quality weed in these parts but as others have mentioned it is ridiculously expensive. In my experience it is roughly 1/3rd as expensive as I found similar quality weed to be on the West Coast. I've also lived in San Francisco and Portland (OR) and never had any trouble finding top shelf cannabis.
 
im born and raised and living in wyoming and the weed games prolly about as bad as you all would expect. when theres weed in town its usually good cali bud or medical shit from colorado but sometimes the towns completely dry for up to a week. prices suck too, almost always $60 an eighth no matter the quality

In NY/NJ there is a ridiculous choice of buds, and the price is only high if you don't negotiate.

In NYC I can get dank for $300/oz
In North jersey's cities $325
North jersey suburbs $380

I've lived in the middle of nowhere, not in CA or on the west coast, and I was able to find some of the best and most high quality stuff I'd ever smoked.
 
i live in cali i can happily say the dispensaries here have the DANKEST! 25% thc levels and stuff

Los angeles is where OG kush was originated...one hitter quitter strains.
