Opioids What OTC med should I combine with my Oxycodone.

I'm IVing about 20-30mg at a time. Just started using opiates again yesterday. I'm mixing it with an antihistamine(hydroxyzine) I am prescribed for Anxiety to counter-act the itch. I was wondering what else I should mix to get more bang for my buck. I also have alcohol and ativan but i'd prefer an otc med.
 
SWIM can speak from experience DXM works well, SWIM usually does 40mg DXM with 60mg Oxy both orally.

SWIM made the mistake of smoking fentanyl, so SWIM's tolerance ramped from needing 80mg to feel what 30mg used to do.

Only a super tiny piece too, probably the best hour of SWIM's life though.
 
To be fair, he never specifically said he was IVing the hydroxyzine, just that he was also taking hydroxizine. Notice how he said "what else should i mix with it...I also have alcohol and ativan..." - which could very well mean he didn't use the word mixing to mean literally mixing in a shot, just taking at the same time.

OP, i have found benadryl, tagamet, and White grapefruit juice work decently well. Though if you are expecting any major potentiation from anything OTC you will be disappointed. The only thing that makes a huge difference IMO is mainly benzos, but be careful when mixing downers.

According to Cane2theLeft there was a huge "experiment" thread where a number of people tried taking various sized doses at various frequencies to document the effects on tolerance. In the end they found that there was no noticeable difference. It neither helped to decrease it nor prevent it from going up.

To bad some idiot mod pruned the thread. :\

To be honest, I used to IV hydroxyzine, but only at low doses like 2mg to 5mg max. I also micron filtered it, and would not have done it any other way. Hydroxyzine hcl (Atarax) is filled with god-awful binders that require a micron filter to be removed.

I went through the entire list though and every dangerous inactive is removed with micron filtering.

Still though, the active ingredient hydroxyzine itself, is not good for your veins. If you dilute it properly, only use 2, 3, or maybe 5mg max per shot, and micron filter, and only use the big veins you have and not the small/surface ones, you can probably do this.

It will still cause some level of hemolysis though, just like slamming a shot in too quickly, or pulling back the plunger too quickly or with too much force while in the vein. I didn't realize this until after I had IV'd many Atarax pills.

Finally if you miss your shot, I am pretty sure the hydroxyzine is going to damage your vein very much so, to the point where it will recede or even entirely disappear. This will happen to a much lesser degree when you make your shot.

Threads are pruned when they haven't been posted in over a year.

To be technically correct, we don't prune threads. The threads are pruned. It takes moderator action to remove a thread from Pending Deletion. I can also manually add in threads to Pending Deletion but this isn't common.

There are large batches of threads that are moved to Pending Deletion, typically by an administrator.

Then we let all greenlighters and bluelighters, moderators, senior moderators, and administrators look through the section of threads in pending deletion for about a week before we delete them.

So, to be correct, you could blame a moderator for not saving it from being pruned, but not for pruning it. :)

That's weird, cane said otherwise, even used the words "idiot mod" and "prunage" if i remember correctly. Maybe it wasn't from prunage, maybe it got deleted for some reason accidentally or something? Not sure now, gotta find the thread cane was posting in when he said this. Either way he made it clear the thread no longer exists specifically because of some un named moderator, and was upset because of how valuable a thread it was.
