i have an AMT trip planned soon and was just wondering is there any foods or drink i should avoid beforehand as ive heard some foods can cause headaches throughout the trip and other unpleasantness.

so im asking what should i avoid the night before? as i am planning to start early the next day for a full day trip.

i'll be taking 50mg AMT with cannabis smoked throughout and a few lines of MXE later on towards the tail end of the trip.

If you go with erowid's rules, you'll definetly be safe.

I just lower my intake of red meat and eat more fish, fruit, vegetables and nuts.
Also, MDMA-pre & postload supplements might be interesting. I always use them (not 5htp, just antioxidants and vitamins..) and have never crashed.
Prepare to be glowing for a week !

edit: this is because aMT might serve as a mild maoi.

Apart from that, drink water and LOTS of it. I believe that's why people have headaches after tripping, they forget to drink enough water.
To give an idea, on a serious 4HOMET trip (8hours) I drink 2-3 litres of water, and that is not counting tea, soup, soda, .. which I drink after the peak.

Be safe!

I would avoid the MXE. While it would be odd for it to have significant serotonergic action, it seems not to play well with certain serotonergics and has caused problems and hospitalisations in some users, suggesting that it *may* have some serotonergic action of its own.

With this in mind, to play it safe I think MXE + aMT could be a bad combo, particularly since not only is aMT a serotonin releaser, but even mild MAOI action means mixing it with other compounds that might play around with serotonin is ill advised.

Other than that, I'd just advise eating what you normally eat, or something nice and healthy, and make sure your last meal is a few hours before bed so it's all properly digested before you wake up to trip :)

Im not saying its safe but ive taken amt and methoxetamine together quite regularly at high ish doses 40mg amt-150mg mxe without feeling any ill effect, I find The the methoxetamine helps with the nausea the come up from the amt. The only downside is I find mxe quite draining and it seems to take away the energy from the amt. arylcyclohexylamines (methoxetamine being part of that group of chemicals) cause dopamine-reuptake inhibition, cause NMDA antagonism, have some µ-opioid affinity. I cant see any real dangers that jump out from using mxe and amt together. The fact mxe is a research chemical we just dont know of the possible dangers/ dangerous interactions of this chem. Use with caution is the best advice. As for foods to avoid id avoid coffee and chocolate while on amt like the plague ive given myself the worst headache of my life mixing these during a trip. Enjoy your trip

Ketamine is also a DRI, but along-side that it's a mild serotonin reuptake inhibitor. Given MXE seems to have more pronounced dopamine reuptake inhibition effects than Ketamine, it's plausible it might also have more significant effects on serotonin reuptake. DXM is an example of a similar dissociative that has significant enough SRI action to be dangerous in combination with MDMA and other serotonin releasers. Sure this is just speculation but not knowing if the risk is there is no reason to dive in and assume it's not, particularly when if the risk is there, it could be life-threatening.

mate i would advise you stay clear of aMT

I never once had a bad experience, however I swear down now that doing aMT several times last year is what gave me chronic anxiety. Never been the same since and havent been able to get a job or leave my house since.

Ironically I hold aMT as responsible for curing my years of severe social anxiety. Goes to show that people are very different and also that set/setting play a huge role in what you take away from the experience.

A trip in a bad place in a bad mindstate can really have a lasting negative toll on you, just as the right time and place can leave you with lasting benefits for a long time.
