What makes some opiates speedy at first?

Like Tramadol I can understand feeling that way because it's an SRA and an SNRI, but what makes some others like oxycodone and hydrocodone speedy? (not speedy in a bad way of course, it's a euphoric speedy, i was just curious what caused it pharmacologically)

many opioids including oxycodone and hydrocodone are serotonergic...so perhaps that's why...albeit, I don't even have my A.S. yet, so perhaps wait for someone else to answer...this might be better for OD or to be asked in the big and banging pseudo-ADD thread...

Oxycodone is serotonergic? I always knew it was but I;ve always been told it was to little to contribute to the effects. How does oxy effect serotonin?

I've read that too, but I can't find the mechanism of thebaine's action. I know that it's a convulsant poison on it's own but I can't find any info on how it does that.

Tramadol has a SNRI stimmy likeness.

Buprenorphine and OxyContin are from a stimulent in opium which may be why they have Amphetamine like rushes.

Also addiction/rush are another factor. Someone who is in some mild wds doses Methadone then they think straight and are stimmulated, sometimes when banging Heroin I've had that "I can clean/do anything" feeling, BANG in da shower n clean up.

How about Tapentadol? It's rather speedy, and its only an NRI mu agonist instead of an SRA and SNRI.

And, uh, what does the fact they're derived from opium explain why they cause speediness? Morphine is the least speedy of all opiates (all widely used anyway) and it's found naturally in opium, along with codeine. There's no amphetamine or fun stimulants (unless you consider thebaine one, but to feel something from thebaine you would have already convulsed and drooled yourself to death.) in opium.
