I first started doing drugs about 2 years ago. Ive been on and off them but since i started back on them full time i find it really hard to concentrate, think properly or talk without stuttering or not pronouncing a word properly. Has anyone has these problems or is it just me????

Are you just smoking weed alot ? or are you doing other drugs in conjuction with weed?

I personally find the long term effects of weed for me has been short term memory loss. Often i can't remember things 2 minutes ago etc. I find that things usually slip my mind very easily.
Along with the memory loss...i find that motivation in doing things has been affected alot as well.
I dunt seem to stutter or not be able to pronounce words properly from weed usage, but i know other drugs can attribute to this.

Might wanna try some Gingko biloba? for memory improvements etc...run a search...comes up with a few things that might help

yeah all of those but being less articulate, paranoid, senseitive to lots of things esp. when coming down... isolated/lonely and less intelligent and manic occansionally.....? fuck why do i do drugs again..... thats right....... the fun.

para-fuckin'-noia.

You hit the nail on head!

I have been smoking solid for the last 4 years, i have managed to switch from bong to joints tho.

Short term memory loss... yehhh its wak i cant remember names they go in one ear and out the other.... 8)

Weirdly i dont know if this happens to users but weed doesn't help me sleep at ALL.... if anything it keeps me awake thinking about the most pointless things....

Also i dont dream much, but when i havent smoked much that day my mind goes crazy

I have the exact same problems, but then I have a bong or three and don't care anymore.

Same, it stimulates my mind but not my body. Sometimes I would use it to stay awake when I needed sleep.

what D_N said is totally applicable to me.
that's why i stopped coz when i am high the only thing i wanna do is get high. although i do things but they are quite useless things.

now i quit because i want my tolerance to go down, smoking too much and lasting not long enough. + got exams + it affected my life too much.

but from now on i will keep it as a reward, smoke it only when i feel like it.
hope that works.

i get flu symptoms if i don't smoke for a couple of days. glands swell and the rest but i guess thats mostly psychological.(in my head)

shot short term mem. but i account for it -which is a massive time waster when i have to check 3times if the car keys are in my bag before i lock the car.

insomnia- if don't go out an exercise on non-smoking day i can't sleep, tossing and turning all nite.

Well I identify myself when I am paranoid, so deal with it internally ;) and just go about my day. Have been smoking almost daily for at least 15+ years. Do have short term memory loss. But hey can remember stuff years ago immaculately :)

I usually stutter my words and not make sense on 2ci, LSD and GHB, but not weed???

I am less judgmental. I'm more creative. I'm more expressive. I no longer consume dangerous drugs like Alchol or tobacco. i've become healthy & happier as a result of pot. I've become far more down to earth and less egotiscal. I'm no longer highly strung which in turn cleared the detetrius in my decision process and thus am able to make better judgements. My dreams are vived and I tended to remember them better. I don't get as many colds or flus because i'm generally a lot happier and less stressed. I spend less money on other drugs whilst , scrabble has become easier and funnier (seriously stoned scrabble is really really addictive).

It has brought me together with family and friends. It helps me see the consequences of my actions more clearer. What more can i say, pot has transformed my perspective on life so much that i'm the better person for it.

^ Actually, weed has been proven to have an "effect" on certain individual's "time-response" in conversation, there-fore leading them to stutter words. Also, you have to take into account the fact that Marijuana, for some... can have a "stimulant-like" quality to it. This can sometimes induce immense excitement and anxiety in some individuals, hehehe.... I've seen it happen.

But, yea... I imagine the excitement would induce nervousness to some extent, which would have an effect on some people's speaking rate, etc...

Hmm for me, its the opposite, like I start talking with excitement just before im about to get my first bong hit. Then do the same after Ive had a good smoke. The opposite when I take meth, Im very quiet and only talk via telepathic hehe whereas my mates cannot STFU after a hit of ice.. Interesting...

I'm just like you when I smoke ice, I sit back and relax and such, don't get really chatty or anything, insufflated or eaten though.. completely different story, classic effects, never known why this was.. I'm different on pot though, I tend to go really quiet, become one with the couch etc, definately not much of a social drug for me.

I have a friend though who when he smokes pot can't shut up, gets really excited, talks nonsense for hours, waves his arms in the air etc.. puts most tweekers to shame on just pot, it's for this reason I've never introduced him to stimulants.. :P

Too many thoughts, hard to explain. I quit buds about 1 month and a half ago and I have to say, my dreams are incredibly intense... I'd say I have an average of 1.5-2 dreams per night and when I smoked a dream would be a rarety!
Anyone else had this?

Been smoking for over 3 years now, on and off... over the past 6 months I would say smoking more than ever. I have found, as I have bipolar type I, that it stabilises my mood. I no longer really get paranoid, it has generally made me more cautious in every day actions so I have no need to be paranoid... but if I do, I easily indentify it as paranoia and basically view it as a test. When I overcome the paranoia, the next time is utter bliss, so I am well rewarded.
When I am stoned I become more articulate, I am able to write very high scoring essays whilst stoned. Overall I have become much more happy, humble and creative with a better mindset than ever... but if I go a month or two without it, all the lessons I have learnt through smoking have been forgotten, makin me an irritable, meglomanic unstable wreck.
Motivation is the bitch though, considering I have AD\HD as well, but it is more motivation towards things I don't want to do in the first place that has been affected. I become more motivated in my own interests (as opposed to expectations forced down on me by others) from pot smoking.

I have experimented with many different drugs now, and strangely enough I am still hard pressed to find a substance that I respect more than weed.

AndyzPsylocybes: Every time I've gone off of pot (such as now) I also get incredibly intense and fucked up dreams, this usually lasts 1-2 weeks. While I'm not abstaining I've also found that I experience dreams very rarely.

smoked every day for 4 years with no noticeable long term effects that i could contribute to weed...

short term memory loss is present but i would say thats due to smoking meth and popping pills, before my chemical days the memory would be pretty sharp if i took a 2 week break, seems to be permanently fried now heheh

i quit smoking it because it kept me awake and made me feel anxious, though this was also after the hards drugs were in the picture.

back when i was just a stoner the side effects seemed pretty short term....
