Ok, to simply ask the question:

If someone got controlled substances mailed to them which they don't have a prescription for and they were somehow caught, what would be the penalty and more to the point, what would most likely happen if somehow the drugs were intercepted?

Do you think at most they'd just be seized and thrown out?

if someone DID get in trouble for it would it most likely be the sender and not the receiver?

And if the receiver got in trouble, how exactly would it go down and what would most likely be the penalty?

Would cops really show up on someone's door step if they got some controlled substances in the mail?

How likely is that to really happen in the United States?

Thanks

We do not allow topics on how to send, receive, or smuggle drugs. When it comes down to it the only advise to give is do not do it. This is strictly against the rules and we do not offer legal help any longer. To answer it generally. What could happen, possession and conspiracy to possess as well as using the mail for a crime. At least 2 of those are felonies and that is just for receiving the package. Would the cops show up? Yes if they find it why wouldnt they? It all depends on a lot of factors but when it comes down to it always assume the worst, which in your case could be 3-4 felonies depending. This is closed and no further discussion will be allowed.
