I was watching my cats today and they seem so content with their life, even though their life is just basically filled with patterns like: sleep-eat-poo-pee-drink-sleep-sleep-sleep. They can live a life like that their entire life and still they seem happy and they are purring. :D
Anyway, there are some people who are fine with living as a monk or living as a hermit, but then again some people always seem to want more and more, they are never satisfied with their life ... This makes me wonder, that what kind of things in our brains make us satisfied, even if we wouldn't have much content in our lives? Is it again a question of brain chemistry or is this a deeper thing, which has something to do with our genes and DNA - something we can't modify by just popping a couple of pills?
