What kills your guys opiate highs?

Annoying people and or music. The Cops, naturally, along with anything that causes a release of adrenaline. Too much of a stimulant. The heat. Exercise. The basics most likely. My cell phone ringing incessantly.

What helps: Benzos, Cannabis, Somas, Benadryl, White Grapefruit juice, Tagament, the right music.
 
Havnt seen too many people mention orgasm . For some reason anytime ive done my shit and proceeded to get off , almost always the feeling goes away completely , if i have done enough it will hang around like a subtle buzz but not return to nodding out . i usually have to bump my way back .

Smoking weed seems to actually make my opiate buzz much better but depending on the strain and how much i smoke , i can go from buzzed to nodding out pretty quickly which ruins it for me because i fall asleep , even if i wake up an hour or two later . the opiate buzz is pretty much gone , even to the point of having to redose again , bumping 8/10 times is usually not enough .

Will agree though with anyone getting in my ass , kills my high like a light switch so i tend to stay away from people in general while opiated.

I agree with this. I usually like to watch a movie while buzzing on oxy. A ways back, my friend who knows about my habit recommended I watch this particular horror movie called "The Banshee Chapter" next time I was high. Oh my God, huge mistake. Freakiest, most disturbing movie EVER. My heart was pounding and palms sweating and my typical opiate buzz just about vanished, so I was plenty pissed about that whole episode and told him don't bother with any more movie recommendations for me.

FYI for those of you who are into this sort of film, it's an indie flick about a guy who develops a new recreational drug that has some side effects which are interesting to say the least.
 
Thank you to the mod that moved this thread to drug culture instead of letting it die. I appreciate that cuz I'm really interested in this topic. But I'm very relieved to see how many people have the same triggers. The heat and humidity is the main one that shuts it down for me, an equal second is loud/annoying people, that shuts it down just as fast for me. And I didn't even think about the sex/orgasm thing. It's completely true! I can be coming up on my doc and start getting warm and very high and if I start having sex I don't pay attention to it and by the time i come and finish its has pretty much passed and I'm much less high. I'm wondering if it's because of the strenuous activity or if it's because of the giant dopamine release from orgasm. Probably a bit of both play a role.
 
If i do too much of any given stimulant, usally coke, it kills my opiate high all the time. I like mixing the two aka speedballing but i like to use more opiates than i do stimulants when doing this.
 
It's not a drug per se, but anytype of drama will do it. A police scare or something like that. I think it's the adrenaline that starts flowing that just kills your buzz.
 
Annoying people, for example: drunk/spun people I'm not trying to be around, people asking stupid questions and just not shutting up in general. The Opiate high is a time to enjoy silence or music, I'm sorry it is. Especially H is a very selfish high.

As has been said: Police, anything that gets my adrenaline flowing is awful/unwelcome.

Neighbors dogs barking and people blasting whatever music they think is cool from their cars, of course.

As far as fucking up my own nod? Doing too much Crystal/Cocaine/Crack, without enough Opiates and/or Benzos not only in my system but ready for after.
 
Something that normally irritates me, irritates me more. It's pretty paradoxical, because opioids are supposed to chill you out. But I can't stand an argument when high on opis.

Yeah, opiates can make me irritable as fuck sometimes. I get annoyed by shit that usually wouldn't bother me; especially when I'm starting to come down. But I'm trying to change that because it just makes me feel like a dick.
 
^ That is oh-so common. It is a well known fact that long-term Opiate usage can lead to irritability (in my opinion brought about not only by the delicate nature of the high but by it's fragility). Also the expense becomes prohibitive and that naturally plays a part.

Yeah I noticed that as well. I can't pinpoint the most important factor which is responsible, but probably the money sink + like others said, the fragility of the high (+ intermittent withdrawals, which leave lasting effects imo) - all results in higher irritability.
 
Some times heroin makes me so relaxed that my mind stops working and I don't "notice" the high.
 
Thinking of how sad my life had become used to spoil my high. Thinking of how dissapointed my family were that I couldn't beat my adiction also ruined my high.
Thinking of how to get more gear ruined it too.
