As a disclaimer i am going to try and explain this the best i can. Earlier i started off with ingesting 1 mg of suboxone, and I am very experienced opiates. I then took one mg of alprozolam and felt nothing after a half hour or so. So i then took another mg of the xanax waited and shit felt nothing really after a half hour. So my dumbass decides to take another mg of xanax. I'm not really that tolerant to benzos but have used them a lot in the past and i recently took 3 mg of clonazepam onto of suboxone and had no problems. This was about three weeks ago i would say would be a good estimate. Now onto the weird part, I feel asleep and started having horrible nightmares that were extremely vivid. In the nightmares i would find myself in familiar situations such as being at work or with friends. Suddenly in these "nightmares" i would get these overwhelming feelings of not being able to move or breath or anything and it felt like i had a long series of these nightmares. I woke up about a half ago literally crying because these dreams were so scary and vivid. Anybodl else have a similar experience to this or my know what was going on with me. The obvious answer to me would be that i was on the verge of overdosing. From now on i am not going to fuck with benzos in such high doses and will only take them for the anxiety relief which is why i take them for the most part. tonight was different, ive been extremely depressed later with lots of anxiety so i thought hey what the hell, why not get really fucked up tonight. Well anything anybody can add besides your an idiot would be nice because i know what i did was not too intelligent and I'm usually much more responsible when it comes to my drug use. Thank you for listening to my story if you actually take the time to read it. Sorry if i rambled

We all make mistakes with our drug use sometimes, don't beat yourself up over it.
It sounds like you got very high but I'm not sure if you were close to ODing or not. It's not uncommon to have weird dreams/visions/thoughts with high dosages of benzos/opiates. I hope you start feeling better soon.

The same thing happens to me when I take high doses of opiates, especially if i mix in any stimulants. The closest thing it feels like is a fever dream, if you've ever been sick enough to have that. Very strange feeling, but it's not uncommon. I'd be careful mixing downers like that, you really can't tell how hard they're gonna hit you till you try to sleep, and it sounds like you might have been having trouble breathing while asleep!

Sorry you haven't been feeling well lately, I tend to get more messed up when I'm not feeling too happy too haha I'm sure whatever's bothering you will turn around soon!

I thought 1mg of suboxone is a very small doseage because the smallest i've ever heard of was 2.5 if i'm correct. also only 3mg of xanax? the standard xanax bar is 3 mg. When you felt you couldn't breath and things were vivid? Did you ever once in your dream KNOW that it was a dream, and you were kind of awake in a semi conscience state but couldn't wake up and were having bad dreams? I deal with something similar to what I explained called lucid dreaming, or mayb you have sleep Abnea.

Sleep paralysis my friend.

It happens anyway but benzos have been known to cause it.

It comes with very vivid nightmares and feeling like you are paralysed. They are scary but i love them :)

It isn't harmful in any way.. apart from maybe scaring you.. but once you know what they are it's all good.

Sleep paralysis is a feeling of being conscious but unable to move. It occurs when a person passes between stages of wakefulness and sleep. During these transitions, you may be unable to move or speak for a few seconds up to a few minutes. Some people may also feel pressure or a sense of choking.

It says a lot about being conscious. But you don't HAVE to be.. I've had plenty where I start feeling heavy in my dream and I start to become paralysed..

posts above me^^^

but i'd like to mention that A. the standard xanax bar is 2mg, not 3 and also, I'm not familiar with opiates but I know that 3mg of xanax isn't close to overdose. (side note, my friend is prescribed 4mg and i think thats the highest they give???)
More than likely just some drug induced vivid dreams and sleep paralysis. I get this pretty often being sober, as a depression patient on an SSRI. I only say these things because of the wacky dreams you get on anti's

Definitely sleep paralysis. I've gotten it on opiates before, and benzos have been known to cause it as well, so your reaction wasn't expectional (although granted, it's a horrific experience). I only ever get it when I've dosed too much so just be more careful with the dosages next time and it shouldn't happen again.

1mg of suboxone is practically negligible. The lowest dosage that suboxone comes in here in the US is 2mg. (so you took HALF of the lowest available dose). I am prescribed 4mg/daily but have taken as much as 16mg at a time (side note, suboxone becomes ineffective after 12mg or so-didnt know it when I took 16mg). I understand that someone who doesnt have an opiate addiction will have a much stronger reaction to ANY dose of suboxone, but I think 1mg is not the culprit here. IMHO it was the XANAX (and a bar is 2mg. BTW), or maybe one of those freak interactions that some people have with certain chemicals. One other thing- are you CERTAIN that the drugs you took were EXACTLY what they were represented to be? I mean to say, if you didnt get them from a pharmacy or do the due dilligence of researching them first, you MAY have gotten something that is more potent or another drug altogether. Either way, I'm glad you're safe. Be careful! :)
