I rather have a successful career and just smoke my weed in the evenings or on weekends.
This is ideal ...
As someone who eventually started burning out before/during/after work, it does take a bit of the fun out of the experience (plus reducing your stash @ the added cost of paranoia on the clock).
That said .. Most of the ones my friends have echoed have come up (programming, tech support, horticulture)
Artistic stuff obviously, but that's not actually a job ;-)
My friends were always jealous when I worked at
Legoland, and couldn't believe I didn't trip on the clock. Now I kinda wish I had.
I used to do a lot of varied security work; daytime is trouble but graveyard patrols, what a sweet job .. Whether on foot (I love to hike) or in whatever POS patrol car, I could just crank up the heat + the metal / late nite triphop and make easy $$. The whole world is asleep; its just you and the stars. Sitting still drives me crazy tho.
Until recently my current job was great sober or stoned; I'd just go mental multi-tasking on the PC with databases/internet; mania+obsessive-compulsive+chronic --> channelled insanity.
Once or twice I tried, but couldn't concentrate with any opiate in my system, but I'd think customer service or something slow would be ideal. Tweakers need something demanding/occupying/dynamic; psychonauts .. Well those sorts don't belong in the workplace; all they can do is feng-shui the local co-op's shelves in tune with Nature's patterns (and completely lacking consumer logic).
I can't communicate too well when blazed, so solitary work is essential.
