What is your opinion on time?

imi (in my imagination)
time is the result of warped space.

the vacuum of that attracts matter towards the centre of large lumps of matter (such as planets) warps the space around it. once the sphere is stable, the ever stretching and warping of space through the static relatively matter creates the sense of time.
although subtle and seemingly weak, i think, as opposed to current scientific thought that the gravitational stretch effects travel futher than that of light.

but like i said. this is according to my imagination.

Some (times) there's not enough and some (times) it goes waaaaaaaaaayyyyy tooooooo ssllllloooooowwwwwW!!! B t really, it's just an i u
llus
ion.

EDIT: AWWW FUCK! I can't get it to look how I wrote it. poooooooo

Time doesn't actually exist. It is merely a measurement of movement.

We are here now !! Only ever now!! Never then or when , or waay out ahead , just here and now with our calibration for prediction and recollection , tis all!

I am one of the few that believes time does not exist.

Very humourous quote, I look forward to pissing on you at your funeral :\

Grow up!

Uhh, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't it take time to read this post just now?

You're just as well off claiming that words don't exist, or that cows are super intelligent space monsters.

I've tried to explain that time doesn't exist (by itself) because it is just a measurement of the change of space (thought of this on mushrooms oncehehe)! "All devices used to measure time really measure space"
an excellent page on the topic http://fusionanomaly.net/time.html

as explained in the page, the theories of Einstein broughtthe space-time continuum, making the separation between the two non-existent.

time mite emit
i met ET

from my previous post in this thread, i can't believe i'm not dyslaxic

^ I can but I would believe anything !!! Honestly. There's no shame in dyslexia anyway ! It allows a different perspective is all I would say about it, and it's somewhat frustrating at times. :\

i just watched a movie called "Primer"... extremely interesting time travel movie :)

time is, as zophen pushed, a measurement. that means it is made up, a way for us to define our observations.

our belief in time is probably one of the few things that keeps us stable.

^ Bullshit!! it is a system of measurement a human intellectual construct with no basis in reality other than movement!!!!!!!!!!

No basis on reality other than movement? What the heck does that even mean?

Movement exists, so does time, so does gravity and how do I know? Experience and logic. Even if you could somehow gather enough evidence to prove that we are all just entities within our own minds, that still doesn't mean that we aren't moving through time and space.

Its as obvious and indisputable as 2+2=4.

time is, as zophen pushed, a measurement. that means it is made up, a way for us to define our observations.

Know what else is a measurement? Seeing and hearing. Why don't we go about claiming that photons or standing wave patterns don't exist while we're at it? Cause everything is a measurement consisting of evidence towards rational conclusions, and that is the very principal of science (which, by the way, is directly responsible for that internet thing we happen to be talking over)
