What is your favourite AND your most hated accent?

scottish accents are fucking horrible, that cunt who presents 'coast' is a prime example.

You absolute wrong-un =D
Just to sit on the fence - We've all got lovely tongues: If anything, it's criminal that we don't all speak different languages. That's what does my nut in (I only just try my part learning new ones).

Yer all fuckin lovely ;)~<3

I love Irish and Scouse accents on girls, and I find a strong Brizzle accent hilarious on a guy.

I don't mind Scottish accents, but Glaswegians can get fucked! A horrible accent. Also not keen on my broad Lancashire accent!

I hate most strong UK accents, except for the SW - starting at Bristol right down to Devon/Cornwall. They all sound so friendly and bumpkin-like. I just can't imagine getting mugged by anyone down there - I'd be laughing my tits off while handing over my wallet!

It depends who is speaking it .

Like some accents sound daft but can be entertaining depends who is speaking it & if they no any good slang.

I can speak nicely .

I'm not prejudiced I just don't like the sound of anyone elses voice.

oh, and americans.

Mancuntian

Get to fuck! A tenner says you're a moaning scouser. ;)

Until I was in my late twenties, all my girlfriends spoke with some variation of an RP accent, sometimes with a northern lilt, but mostly southerners. One accent I really loathed was Hull in particular, though most Yorkshire / Lancashire accents leave me cold. Then I ended up in a relationship with a woman from Hull.

Over time, I've come to find that it's what people are saying that's sexy rather than their accents. I must admit to finding broad female NY / Brooklyn voices nice to listen to, and certain southern US accents have a similar effect, but I couldn't go crazy over somebody because of it.

Living in a big city I hear a hundred different accents a day, so I've become desensitised. The fake 'Manc' accent touted by the likes of Ian Brown, Liam Gallagher etc. is a pet hate of mine though. Total affectation.

French women talking English. German women talking English. Swedish, Polish, Dutch, Czech, Romanian, Ukrainian, Swedish, Swiss, Austrian, Spanish, Slovakian... You get the idea.

Would love to have a girlfriend with a proper American Hick accent. Would be hilarious albeit highly unlikely to happen in this country.

Can't say I dislike any accents.

Having allowed this question to float about in my head for a little while I can now say I find an Edinburgh/South London accent a bit of a turn on. Take a mating pair of well-spoken South Londoners and move them to Edinburgh to bring up their daughter. Bingo.

Also I agree with those who like the South African accent. It's certainly the most fun to try to imitate.

Scottish. But apparently not definably any specific region, as I've been accused of being Glaswegian and also a Fifer, although I grew up just south of Edinburgh.

What's yours? Or did you already say?
