What is your favorite organic substance to mix with mushrooms?

Sorry if this isn't the right place for this. Since my question is pertaining to mushrooms and mushrooms only, I figured this is the place for it.

I'm interested to know what your favorite organic substance is to mix with mushrooms. Organic meaning it grew from the earth with no man-made additives.

For example, my favorite mix right now is kratom and a light dose of mushrooms. I feel it gives an almost MDA-like euphoric visual experience and a bad trip is seemingly impossible. If I can find something else to add to this to combat the 'shroom sleepiness' one may get on the come up, then I think I'd have the perfect mix for a night out. As of right now though, the come up fatigue and anxiety make it not so appealing to do while out on the town.

I want to know what else folks enjoy mixing with their mushrooms to create exciting new experiences! Perhaps someone has a suggestion for my needs?

i feel like theres one of these types of threads every month. no synthetics, i need something to combine with shrooms for a night on the town. :p

for a natural stimulant? maybe ephedrine? maybe some caffeine? mescaline?

ill try to find the last thread and link it here, probably that would be helpful.
 
swim likes lemon or lime juice. Try lemon tech with the shrooms. Or mushroom tea can be very good. Just make mushroom tea and mix it with your favorite kind of normal tea to cover taste, ginger root can really help give it some flavor and kick, also lemon or lime juice too. swim doesn't like to eat very much after taking mushrooms, usually ends up getting sick that way, which probably is why tea is preferred. Also the tea can be re-steeped 3-4 times making tea to share, thus a shroom tea party.
 
Raw ginger root or juice, either strait or via tea. Mostly to counteract the gut grumbles typically caused on the come up when eating mushrooms.

Hehe, I expected someone to notice. :p I have posted few threads on this 'organic night out mix', however my threads all pose unique questions that all essentially are driving at a similar end result.

By organic substance, I mean a psychoactive plant or isolated alkaloid like opium, kava, rhodiola, yerba mate, etc.. I'm against using synthetics like amphetamine or 2C-x for this specific experience OR anything too neurotoxic. Mescaline has been mentioned several times to me, and it sounds almost perfect, however I read that an effective dose of mescaline is a toxic dose? is that true?

It's interesting to hear some yummy shroom recipes which I may have to try, however I'm interested in know what you folks mix with your mushies to add effects to the experience?

The hurdle I'm facing is that shrooms make you feel sleepy as they begin to work their magic, and with sleepiness can also come anxiety. This is not something I'd want to experience while at a club, rave, party, etc.. The obvious answer is add some caffeine or something, but the problem with that is many stims can cause an anxiety of their own, and now that coupled with shroom anxiety can quite possibly be a one way ticket to a horrible experience. Again, NOT something I'm trying to get myself into while far from home.

One thing I've been wondering is how adaptogens effect mushroom trips, like gingseng and rhodiola. Does anyone have experience using adaptogens to ease come up anxiety and/or sleepiness?


Having said all that, I'm not just asking about stimulants here. I'm honestly curious to know what the favorite shroom combos are, whether they are a stim, a depressant, adaptogen, another psych, etc.. :)

LOL at this point, weed is more or less an assumed additive to absolutely any drug experience I have.

In the end, once I finalize all the ingredients, I'm most likely going to make it all into some kind of edible like brownies or cookies, and you bet your ass there's going to be chronic in there. %)
 
I still think you should smoke some DMT. If you smoke it on the come up I bet you will coast right into your shroom peak.

Mescaline is also a good choice, but won't make you any less sleepy, IMO. Mescaline being toxic within the normal dosage range is hogwash, or perhaps balderdash. Lethal dosage of mescaline is somewhere in the neighborhood of 9000mg for a 150lb person. Don't test this, though. Real mescaline is very rare, and the chances of you having access to real crystal mescaline are very low. I am guessing that you are talking about cactus, though.

If you take cactus extract there is a decent chance you will purge, but I tend to think this is a fairly common psychedelic side effect across a pretty broad range of substances. Mushrooms and ayahuasca come to mind in particular. Anyway, it isn't really anything to worry about most of the time. Most psychedelics are not physiologically harmful within the normal dose range.

No, mescaline is not toxic at normal doses. It has a hugely established safety profile with thousands of years of use. I don't think you'd have to worry... to be honest, a mescaline + shroom experience could be very interesting. I wouldn't count on it to turn out great but would expect interesting things - definitely worth a shot, at least. It is stimulating too (at least, to me!).
 
HBWR is a nice way of addin a little bit of oomph to a dose of mushrooms...It changes the visual element slightly and adds an extra blush of euphoria. Keep the dose on the low to medium low for the HBWR though, to minimize side effects from the seeds.

How about Morning Glories? How many HBW seeds would you reccomend? How many MG?

I'm seeing 100 seeds being a good starting point with morning glory. You're probably going to have to experiment with the dosage a little bit before it works for you in the way you want.

As for HBWR, when i ate 10, not much happened except I got really sleepy And yawned a lot. Couldn't focus on anything for long. Its worth a shot to experiment with this as well And I'd recommend you experiment with both HBWR and MG on their own to see if you even like them. I have lots of MG seed that I should get around to... remind me to tell You about lsa blotter.

Question, and I know you have the answer but I'm curious what others say too:

Would an oral dose of changa/DMT have a similar onset to the way it does when smoked? Obviously it wouldn't be as fast and probably not as intense, but is it still a rush of sorts?
