Back when I used las dr0ug@s (I don't use anything now) it was a toss up between Alcohol, opiates (codeine, vicodin, percocets), and Cannabis but I enjoyed smoking alone more and did this more often than smoking with other people.

Also the fact that I started smoking when I was younger as a teenager and most of my friends didn't start until they were adults at 18/19, in their early 20s, or don't smoke at all is another factor as to why I mostly smoked alone.

For the past 38 yrs, it's definitely been weed. I love getting high by myself & either doing something with my son [who's 16 & doesn't use anything for the noggin] or fuckin around on this contraption.

There's nothing better than hanging out by yourself on a Saturday afternoon, puffing a little high quality marijuana, a nice hot cup of coffee, and reading a good book.

I think you're my kindred spirit, smoking ganja and reading a good book on a lazy afternoon is one of my favorite things to do. Although I voted for opiates, mostly because I always like to do them alone for some reason. I am a lot more social on them (they kill my social anxiety in fact), but I just always preferred to experience the high unobstructed. Sadly, I spent my 21st b-day dozing on a good dose of hydro, smoking a ton of weed, and watching Kirosawa films all by my lonesome.

weed. especially if its higher quality psychedelic kind of high stuff, i like to be by myself watching tv and just zoning out or thinking weird things, looking at the visuals w/ my eyes closed.
i'd imagine opiates would be the ideal alone drug. i've only done hydrocodone so im not too experienced.

I miss lazy Sundays when I used to smoke, relax, read a good book, take a nice hot shower/bath, and maybe watch a movie.

I also would enjoy taking some prescribed codeine, vicodin, or Oxycodone in low doses and combining it with smoking.

When I turned 21 I spent it alone, depressed, and sober.

Sorry to hear about your 21st, I guess it really got to me b/c the people around me all had crazy-ass 21st b-days. It made me reflect on my the obsession I have for opiates and how it drives me to be alone. So, I feel for you.

I think it's time to move to Amsterdam, we should have a mass exodus of Americans. Where we can walk into a cafe, order some delicious hash, post up, and read a good book, while also avoiding the feeling of being socially isolated for smoking/using in a public place. Who's with me?

Places that sell alcohol (cafes and such) are expressly forbidden to sell soft drugs. The opposite is also true, i.e. "coffee"shops aren't allowed to serve alcohol.
Supposedly it's because people who can't handle the combination caused too many problems in the past.
AFAIK the rule is strictly enforced.

i voted for benzos. benzos and weed goes without saying. normally i just do my own thing on them and friends feel left out sometimes if im not saying a word cause im so relaxed and nearly falling asleep. other fav is IV morphine or oxy.

I can relate to this. In fact, I just did 1/2 a bowl of some Romulan [heavy indica] & 3 mgs of Klonopins. Ripped & relaxed -- a beautiful thing. %)
Some people feel like they must be talking constantly to feel comfortable & I'd just prefer to enjoy the silence.

^ yer man. some of them are fine with silence, just got a couple that are a little over-enthusiastic and will say shit just for the sake of no silence.

me and my brother from another mother can just sit and not say a word to each other for hours on end, then be in a deep conversation the next minute. im prescribed pain killers and valium and hes prescribed xanax, so we make for some interesting conversations when we're messy.

im actually missin him at the moment, havent spoken to him for nearly a week.

/\/\/\/\ Yeah same here. I'm prescribed 90 mgs Methadone daily for my stenosis & 2 mgs of Klonopins for anxiety.
Then I have my weed & it makes for a great combo.

GBL was great by myself! although i voted for maryj, because it is a thing to do when u are bored!

ahhhh, the nights alone watching a movie on GBL, it could be the shittiest movie and i would still have a good time.

QFT. Every occupations are good on gbl, ever the shittiest. It's always a good moment, alone or not. It is not the same story with pot. However i can use more often pot alone than gbl so i voted pot even it is less funny.

I voted for stimulants. My occasional use of coke is kind of hidden from many people because stimulants seemed to be frowned upon by my using and non-using friends. Plus it helps me study and have more focus in regards to my school work. I considered voting for benzo's but they actually help me become more social and a desire to be more outgoing so I couldn't vote for them.
