damn, i cant stand that fuckin song...one of the most-hated songs that came out this year on my list...The lyrics are such lame shit too, "New york, it will make u feel brand new, Big lights will inspire you"
Somethin about that last line is jus so retarded to me. Big lights will inspire u? the fuck kind of half-ass, "say it cuz it rhymes" shit is that? WTF is inspiring about "big lights"? Yea, u can look out over the skyline of the city and feel that kinda sense of "damn, the world is big and theres alot out there maybe i can do somethin big in it one day, but thats the skyline, the view of the city, the tall buildings...And it aint no one specific thing, thats like sayin "street signs will inspire u" becuz when u walk down 5th ave with all the rich-ass stores u feel like u want to have money like that. its the idea and the whole thing together, it sounds mad stupid to say big lights will inspire u just becuz it rhymes.
its like yea i kno wat it means, i get wat they meant to say but its clear the there wasnt no effort put into makin that song. its just a stupid lyric that coulda been wrote out much better but i get the idea they wrote that song in like a hour and just slapped down the track n released it, its soooo much below the quality of the usual shit from either one of them two.
And dont even get me started on how Alicia puts so much un necessary force into singin the hook....IN
