What is your current supplement regimen and why you use them

I currently take an iron supplement as my hematocrit and hemoglobin were the only things low on my physical... I take it with grapefruit juice/emergen-c mixture as b'vit's and vit c help with iron absorption and so I don't get an upset tummy. :)

Everyday, I take:

Granulated Lecithin -- I actually love the way it tastes. So nutty and yum. I cannot live without this. I literally feel restless and unfocused when I miss it.

Vitamin E
B Complex
Calcium, Magnesium and Zinc supplement
Organic Bee Pollen [not everyday, as this tends to "wire" me...I take it every other day or when I need an energy boost].
Vitamin C

I've also been taking piracetam almost daily but there will be days when I run out and I'll be fine without it. :)

^i didn't notice much with lecithin.

daily i take (generally for my brain, memory and cognitive functions):
centrum
fish oil
ginkgo biloba
piracetam
and i drink green tea both at home with breakfast and all day at work.

i dump a no_doz or two before going to the gym on the way to work. ran out of protein, and am going without it just fine. i also recently completed a 90 day run of menevit as we are currently family planning.

I take, daily:

N Carnitine L Tyrosene (1 cap, not sure of mg)
750mg magnesium
100mg zinc
2 big Omega 3 pills
Multi vitamins

i do this for my memory and general well being, magnesium and Zinc do wonders for my mood, energy levels etc.

Occasionally 5-htp when mandy was around, but that makes me sleepy and gives me strange dreams

I target every Vitamin and go pretty much double the RDA, except for Vit B6 and Vitamin A. BUY EACH SUPPLEMENT individually.I have:

Fish oil
vitamin a
all vitamin bs individually
vitamin c
vitamin d
vitamin e
folic acid
magnesium
zinc
coencyme q10
glocosamine
glutamine
Chromium
Resrevatol

and if you have a good source and enough money hit Chlorella and Spirulina hard, like 50 - 100 tabs a day.

And last but not least loads of green tea and alkaline water ph 9ish.

Chinese Herb - Salvia 10 Formula (contains Salvia miltiorrhiza roct, Paeonia lactiflora root & bark, different flowers...etc.) Taking 2 pills 3 times daily

Taking Salvia 10 Form. as "prescribed" from my acupuncturist to help with mood fluctuations and "weepies" for no apparent reason (which gets pretty bad close to menses). Been taking it for about 3 months and I see significant improvement!

My current regime:

Supplement-supplements:

- Magnesium bisglycinate 350 - 500mg oral (couldn't find the taurinate, which would have been preferable)
- Taurine (included with the above as a 2nd active ingredient)
- Zinc (still trying to find out best salt or dose and ROA thereof)
- Ergoloid Mesylates (Hydergine) 4.5mg/day rectally, sometimes in halves. (This one is the winner!)
- Fish Oil (and plenty of olive oil with all food)
- Mineral-focused multivitamin

Some staple foods:

- Wine - usually white, sometimes red (I can *feel* that 2-3 glasses a day (but not more) make me healthier, although hydration is a must.
- Black Tea (hence caffeine and theanine)
- Unpasteurized natural honey (in my morning tea)
- Marmite (full of natural B vitamins) (semi-daily)
- Milk Thistle - liver maintinance (once in a while)
- Turmeric, saffron, onion, and garlic (all my recipies have like 30X or so the amount recommended for these four)!

Almost irrelevant note: my body rarely craves (and usually rejects actually) sweet things (sugar) ot any salt beyond a dab, so I rarely eat them. On the other hand it craves sour things so I eat lots of lemons and use lots of different vinegars.

These all serve to keep me feeling emotianally-balanced, and I suppose my body doesn't complain :)

I would like to add to the above Huperzine-A. I'd also add Tianeptine in a heartbeat if it were available in Canada. I have yet to try Kava but heard great things about it... same goes to Nicergoline.

Also, if I manage to locate authentic Nigella, I'd make it a daily thing, too.

Vit D
DHA/EPA
creatine (used sparingly)
caffeine

Thinking about adding milk thistle, echinacea, magnesium, and an amino acid or two.

Multi biontinica pro biotic multivitamin
ginko biloba
magnesium citrate
fish oil
milk thistle
garlic capsules
cayenne capsules
5htp (sometimes)
siberian ginseng
whey protein (sometimes, pre and post workout)
creatine (sometimes, pre and post workout)

makes me feel pretty good. although i already have a pretty healthy diet. swear i started thinking a bit "clearer" after taking omega 3. saying that i eat quite a lot of fish anyway, so perhaps not. the siberian ginseng is quite stimulating, sometimes it stops me sleeping

whey sucks but its an easy source of protein and practically the next best thing if you cant afford or locate steroids. whole foods + 2 whey shakes a day is better than just eating more whole foods to compensate if you can't stomach all that food.
