What is your current supplement regimen and why you use them

Fish oil and vitamin E. Yep, that is all.

I do a creatine cycle a month before a powerlift meet, but that's it.

^ out of curiosity why don't you run creatine every day? I noticed no 'downregulation' (not exactly right but you get my drift) running it every day. Its just some great stuff to use.

for me these days:
fish oil 5grams
creatine 5 grams
multivitamin
CJC1295/GHRP-6 (166ug each every night about 3-4am, run this for one month on/one off)
ZMA before bedtime

soon to be added is microlactin cause I'm starting back to Box Squatting!

My current regimen...All for a healthy future!

-Multivitamin/mineral
-B-Complex
-Fish Oil
-Piracetam
-Glucosamine & Chondroitin
-Melatonin
-Whey Protein
-CEE (Creatine Ethyl Ester)
-BCAA's
-L-Glutamine
-Digestive Enzymes

I use it daily when I'm in an on-cycle. I do the typical 5 day loading and 5mg daily maintenance.

As for why I don't stay on it, there are differing opinions out there on how long creatine cycles should be, but I prefer to just be on it when I'm prepping for a competition. I compete annually in August and December, so that puts me on for two months a year.

Rippetoe told me that he's a fan of a month on and a month off, and I think that's a good cycle. I just don't particularly like taking supplements. :)

well that makes sense, it provides an edge for your competition prep.

Honestly I wouldn't listen to much of anything rip says about supplements. He doesn't really appear to know much. He also told people that drinking milk you get some of the IGF that the cows are injected with. Right Coach Rip, a complex peptide like IGF-1 survives the stomach acids and can be absorbed orally! LMAO!

He knows his shit on form though and diet in general (ie overfeed it mentality!)

What's the deal with all of these peptides? There's guys in my gym who inject themselves with shit like IGf, cjc, kidsgkn/ etc...what are these!?

In general I stick to:

100-200 mg Ginkgo biloba extract daily
300 mg Maca extract 3-4 times a week, during strenuous days
300 mg Bacopa monnieri daily
100 mg L-Theanine to combat work-related stress
1 gram Piracetam daily, just started
1 gram Chocamine or two cups of coffee/yerba mate daily
1 gram NAC 2-3 times a week, or after heavy drinking/drug use
Vitamins A, C, E & Selenium blend every other day
2-3 grams Omega-3 Fatty Acids daily
Vitamin C occasionally, on days when I don't take the A, C, E & Selenium blend
5 mg melatonin/healthy pinch of GABA on days when I'm still edgy and need to get to sleep.
100 mg Huperzine A, occasionally
1 capsule Milk Thistle Extract if I've been drinking/drugging a bit much
Eleuthero and Ginsend blend, seldom
500 mg Phenibut to balance an anxious or mildly depressed mood
250 mg Magnesium occasionally, or prior to using strong stimulants

Think that's all, seems like a lot when written down like that, but I don't typically take any nootropics on weekends unless I need to concentrate for extended periods on a task. I don't perceive myself as a heavy supplement user, or supplement-dependent, the nootropics just give me an edge in a competitive academic environment, and most of the others are a form of preventative medicine used mainly to alleviate the effects of stress in general.

That Novedex XT by Gaspari Nutrition is some excellent stuff....It takes about 2 full week to start feeling it's effects....Awesome product!

try low dose aromasin for an awesome AI if you'd like to switch it up from novadex. Its real good stuff around 6.25-12.5mg ED.

post workout:
pGNC1-4131128dt.jpg

I take these as remembered (at least 5 days a week):
Multivitamin
Fish oil capsules
Flax oil (in post work-out shake)
Ground flax (in my daily greek yogurt)
Calcium w/D
Magnesium
Glucosamine Chondroitin

glucosamine chondoitin has been so essential for my bad knees...have you exp its benefits PI?

Yes. After 3 weeks back on it daily I have less knee pain. Going down into a squat or lunge feels fine. It is getting up from it that pains me. I really need new sneakers too.

I am avoiding going to the orthopedist. I went about 8 years ago for the same pain and was told I have weak ligaments and PT was advised. I was not active at the time and I never did go to therapy. I wanted to ensure it wasn't arthritis or something serious. I figure they are going to tell me the same thing. Plus, I am on a high deductible health insurance plan and if they order an MRI, I don't have that kind of cash.

don't trust anything in pill form. Its all bunk.

you have to get little vials of the stuff (CJC1295/GHRP-6), lypholized (kinda like freeze dried). You squirt some sterile water in and then withdraw with insulin syringe and inject in subcutaneous while you're in a fasted state (like 3am when you wake up and pee). These peptides bind to your pituatary gland and 'surge' GH (natural stores) to be released. Its kinda like training your pit gland to release more GH than normal (you can get levels up to 200% depending on dosage used).

GH is the ultimate health drug. It makes you sleep SOOOOOOO deep and recovery is insane from it.

I've started taking 100 grams of dextrose (simple sugar, two glucose molecules bound very weakly) every day since I've been hammering it with weights every day with no rest days. 50 grams before working out and 50 grams after working out. It feels fucking luxurious. I've been doing a bunch of hypertrophy work lately (high rep stuff) so I figure its being put to good use. Actually nearly every workout I am gaining a mm or two in size. Pretty fuckin cool.

With the 50 grams dextrose I take 50 grams of protein. So thats 100g of protein around my workout window. And then I've been taking 50g or so of protein in the morning and 50g of protein in the evening (with meals). And whatever protein I get regularly with breakfast/lunch/dinner. I estimate probably getting about 320 grams of protein a day (I weigh 160 pounds).

I also take 5 grams of creatine right after the postworkout shake. Then I drink 2 glasses of water slowly for the next hour or so to help the creatine absorb.

I'm also gonna start back to taking 10 grams of fish oil in the morning with breakfast (10 gel capsules!).

I get my whey protein from trueprotein.com They have deals on 25 pound bags that works out to be about 4 dollars a pound. Thats compared to 8-9 dollars a pound if you buy it in 5-10 pound increments from GNC type stores. I have to buy cheap since I like to take 100+ grams every day (almost a quarter pound a day).

Seems like alot but I have been doing this for years.

No E counteracts amminos in me at least. Everyone is different and you need to experiment a little. I was able to cut my opiates for pain down to 1/3 of my max with this regimen.

some good stuff all I have to comment is you're not running the fish oil high enough. I take 5-10g every day when I have some around. Its great stuff at high doses.
