What is your current supplement regimen and why you use them

the only things i am wondering about when i took that large dosage is this:
i vaguely remember the cops comming around, talking to me, but i dont remember anything they said, c

Stay on topic please.

My new regimen-

With lunch-
2 st. johns wort
1 vitamin c-ester
2 fish oil capsules

before bed-
1 calcium supplement
*valerian root if needed to help sleep

It seems adding a lot more vitamin c to my diet is helping my immunity a lot. Although I feel very very lethargic lately...not sure but it might be the st johns wort doing something..

I don't take anything now, because I am trapped in this strange little fantasy that I can get everything I need with the modern diet. I probably should though.

As long as your modern diet is healthy, you probably are right. All the basic neccesities to survive anyway, although Im all about going above and beyond.

I added glucosamine for my jaw into my regimen. Im really getting annoyed at taking all these pills though.

Not so much as a supp regimen but a word of advice from 5 years of experience with all kinds of supps.

try and NOT be on any cycle/regimen for more than 3-6 weeks. your body needs the time to readjust and recalibrate. beleive me its more effective in the long run.

second time you repeat a cycle, you will find it to be more effective and your body more receptive to its effects.

the two things i found are prob the only supps that can be taken daily with no ill effect are fish oil and a decent multivitamin(i use NOW's Adam).

sesathin
(sesamin oil concentrate) is a close 3rd. but even this super fish-oil lignand aint fit for more than 6 weeks straight.

another word of caution. be carefull with the new wave of supps. not enough research is behind most of these new extracts/chemicals.

Sulbatamine(biotest's SPIKE) comes as an example.

also some of these supps are just too good not to have hidden side effects in the long run. i just tried an energy pill today that felt like a smooth energetic 8 hour meth bang-up. no crash as of yet, but im still wary, so should you be.

be safe!

Thats a coincidence man, I tried Spike yesterday afternoon. They had a little 2 pack at GNC for a dollar so I went for it. I was actually impressed. One didn't do much, but 2 had me jacked up without appitite loss for like 8 hours and I didn't crash, I just was suddenly back to normal.

As for my supplimentation:
Whey protein and Creatine/Taurine
GNC Men's multivitamin
Plenty of energy drinks lol

And I feel great! ...and yes, the guns are huge ;)

ginko biloba.
for helping my mind, stimulating, yet relaxing to the nervous system, help's eye's, ears, as i have a wierd visual snowy thing, slight tinitus, and slight mental issues i'm tryna sort out, namely, a wierd slight difference in perception and something with my mind, i can't put a finger on what it is but i know it's different. freeky....
gotu kola.
for much the same as the above.
vitamin-b complex
for proper brain activity, medicine for the mind.
magnesium.
for nerve repairing as i twitch randomly.
and
Quiet time
which is a herbal remedy to help me sleep as i usualy get quite anxious at bed time.

Daily: just started today , got my paycheack =)
Multi-Vit
500 mg of garlic 1 before bed , 1 in the morning
Vit b-complex
Udo's Choice , 2 times (same as garlic)
Alpha Lipoic Acid

Im going to run down and get some Valerian (sp) root and st.johns wart tommorw for sleep and depression aid.

Daily:
1-2 grams CLA
1000-2000 mcg Chromium polynicotinate
1 g EFA Complex
1 g Vitamin C
2-3 g Kre-Alkalyn (before workout)
Occasionally, I'll have 100-200 mg Ginkgo Biloba to help with concentration in school, but it makes me feel kinda tweaked out.
I also consume between 2 and 4 scoops whey protein powder daily, and I eat a very balanced diet.

Alright, this question is so basic that I doubt searching old posts for an answer to it would yield anything at all, anywhere.

This thread and a few other bluelight threads on preloading have recently inspired me to invest in some vitamins and supplements. For those of you who take multiple pills every day, when do you take them? All at once, or do you spread them out throughout the day?

It may be because I'm unaccustomed to taking pills like this, but the thought of eating as many as some of you take daily is enough to make me gag. The past few days I've been taking 5 800mg Piracetam pills, a 250mg Choline pill, a 1000mg Ester-C pill, and a multivitamin in the morning when I wake up. By the time I'm done swallowing the last one I feel like throwing up.

I've never really liked swallowing(large) pills so it may be a psychological thing. The thought of all that shit in my stomach doesn't sit well with me. Thoughts or tips?

EDIT: I forgot to add, the reason I'm asking is because I'd like to add a few more things into my daily regimen but don't want to make myself uncomfortable doing it.

^^Well, you could certainly split your Piracetam intake into 2 or even 3 doses. Actually, that'd be advisable, in order to keep plasma levels at an optimum level for as long as possible. Take 2 capsules in the morning, 2 at noon, and 1 in the early evening. Then, if at all possible, you could split your C into a 2-a-day regiment as well, with 500 migs in the morning and 500 with dinner.

The choline I'd take in the middle of the day, as when you wake up your choline levels should be fine and dosing during lunch should keep things steady throughout the rest of the day.

Keep in mind I'm no expert, although someday I'd like to be. This is just a suggestion to keep your pill swallowing spaced out.

Thanks for the tips. I'll give it a try.

Current Regimen:

2 x large cups of coffee. Blah. I want to stop this.

4000mg Fish Oil (for a combined 1200mg EFA, and 800mg DHA). Should I up this? It's the best concentration I found for EFA's in fish oil so far. Made by Jamieson Pharm. Anybody know a better brand (in Canada?) or on the net for cheap?

Calcium Carbonate / Magnesium Oxide Tablet (400/200). Why not eh?

1/2 a strong multivitamin (with the lastest shit.. like lutein etc). The full one a day vitamin made my piss neon yellow. I eat a good, varied diet and just don't think I need all those excess nutrients in pill form. What do you all think? Are excess vitamins bad?

Things I've stopped for now:

Oxiracetam: Made me too mentally excited. Though I felt very "intelligent" I couldn't put my mind in gear to get any real studyhours in. I also suspect at my dose level of 800mg a day that it was contributing to some insomnia I've been having as of late. (was taking with choline bitartrate. couldn't tell a difference with or without - except that the choline gave me muscle stiffness of the jaw etc.)

10mg Vipocetine. This stuff - after a couple days of use - made me LESS focused and LESS able to concentrate on subjects like organ. chem and biology. It also kinda made me feel mentally faded by the afternoon. It's a weird chemical for me, it will either really help, or fade me out.

Things I can't wait to try and have on order:

Deprenyl (seleginine). 5mg a day I'm going to try. From the reports I've read I'm really looking forward to the memory enhancement.

I think excess vitamins are probably a strain on liver and kidney as you will have to excrete them. Some may be stored and these deposits can reach toxic levels. Not sure whether this is true. I am currently going thru a phase where I take the quiv. of 3 Multivitamins'n'minerals a day... cause I felt I have an absorption issue and that topping levels up for a few months might be beneficial. Dunno, I just kinda follow my intuition with these things. There may come a time where I will want to use fewer vitamins again.

This is why I dont take the multivitamin everyday, I find it more beneficial to take it less often. Ive been taking it once every 3 days right now and it seems to be working good.

^how do you know if a multivitamin is working?

I feel a definite increase in energy on the days that I take it. Thats mostly what I mean. I feel better overall now that Im taking it once every three days than when I wasnt taking it at all. Im a vegetarian and I think the iron in the pills might have something to do with it.
